Has anyone heard of these guys? I mentioned them in one of the 2008 aoty threads but I don't know how well known they are...
Their new album is amazing. I don't know how to describe it really. Maybe some bizarre combination of Sigur Ros, The Flaming Lips, and Woven Hand... epic spacey dreamy pop with post-rock-ish soundscapes and folksy banjo numbers.
I just ordered the limited edition colored vinyl, comes out December 9th... includes a CD copy, a poster of the album art, and the gatefold is done by hand. $25 well spent methinks...
Anyways, if you're a fan of shoegazer, post-rock, dream pop, folk, or whatever the hell else you could call them, go check it out.....
