Last night at the Butch show in Hoboken, NJ the crowd was miserable to say the least. I have never seen a worse crowd at a live show in my entire life. You would think with a show which has been sold out since the day it went on sale, the people who got to see the show would be pretty amped up once Butch came on...well, that was not the case. Barely anyone was moving or singing along and people seemed like someone forced them to be there. The entire back half of the room seemed as if they had stumbled upon Maxwell's and had no idea who Butch Walker was. It was pretty sad if I do say so myself. I saw one group of people who had a 50-60 year old parental units, and they seemed like they were having the best time out of the entire crowd. Once Butch finished up his set, people ran for the exits like the place was on fire. Like come on people, at least show some respect for Mr. Walker and make an attempt for an encore.
Again, I have never been at a show with such a weak crowd and I was thoroughly dissappointed. It was a little hot in the back room at Max's and it was pouring rain, but damn people, this was one of Butch's only stops in the tri state area, show a little love.
