This poll is done at least twice a year.

This question is tough because Dookie came out like 7-8 years earlier. Theres a huge generational gap there.

dookie 1994
enema 1999.
i don't think it's TOO big of a generation gap.

I lost all respect for Green Day since American Idiot. It sucks that Blink is gone, but at least the went out on top

There'd be no Enema without Dookie. Also, SHE is enough of a reason for Greenday to win that one.

I love Blink and I always enjoyed enema of the state, but Dookie is definitely the better album.

As much as I enjoy Enema, it really should be no contest, Dookie should win.

Some bands get better with time -- Green Day is one such band. AI is their best work to date. Blink-182's best album as a whole is probably TOYPAJ but their best songs come from other CDs, I think.

Interesting, I do not hate AI but in large part i think Dookie is their best, most complete album. Most people seem to despise AI and at the same time listen to music that is 100x worse

I love American Idiot. Its pretty much a punk rock master piece.. no matter what Johnny Rotten says.. and even after the doublewhiskeycokenoice business.

The fact that Enema is winning makes me very sad.
These albums aren't even close.
This is like "Pet Sounds" losing to "Chase This Light".

dookie was a good album, but there are weak tracks on it... enema is flawless for a pop-punk album

My thoughts exactly, but then again, didn't this site start off as a Blink fansite?

Amen that. Although I like Dookie better and would rather listen to that any day of the week, AI was a much better album. It was a punk rock opera with acts....fucking acts. You really dont see a punk rock album with that kind of scale and large vision a whole lot. I think all of the "I hate Green Day since they sold out with AI" really means "I hate all the mainstream attention AI got."

i still listen to enema of the state on a weekly basis... dookie, not so much.

I don't think one can compare these two albums. A better comparison would be Cheshire Cat and Dookie because both albums helped place Blink and Green Day on the map (respectively).
Plus, I think that if Dookie had not come out bands like Blink 182 would not have been formed.

I had a dream the other night that blink put on a surprise reunion show.
...then i woke up and realized how much my life sucks.
