It's called Carnival of light, only been played once in public. It was never released because 3 of the 4 Beatles though it was too adventurous. Will be interesting to hear.

hahaha do tell...

When I was a student at Full Sail University... one of my best friends down there who was in my class has the distinction of having Mr. Harrison as a Great Uncle. George was his grandmother's brother. There's stuff aobut the family all over online and what not. And she is the one that just sold the first ever Beatles record to ever be brought into the states. Anyway, the Harrison estate was paying for him to go to school there.

Yeah, pretty sweet.

So any theories as to how the song might be released? Stand alone sale as an mp3? New compilation released with the song?

thespearkid

MP3 will sell for $1.99 on Amazon for one week and then be gone forever.

ATTN: The Beatles will be chatting in this thread at 7:00 Central Time. Be sure to stop by and comment about the new song, Paul's divorce, etc.

Edit: The chat is now over. Thanks to Paul and George for participating.

Chat will be full of trolls bashing Paul for ripping off Panic.

Kinda random, but what did you think of FSU?

Just going off of what my friends who have attended have said: it sucks, you learn things that aren't really useful in your field, and you are pushed through the school like cattle with no real education or the ability to handle yourself professionally. Also, there is no feeling of personality between professors.

This is according to my friends who have gone there. Also, most of their work I've seen out of there isn't very good.

Word for word how I felt / feel. Hated it. This is all 100% true.

If you like having a semester's worth of information in one month and 15-18 hour long school days, then by all means... go spend $60k.

I'm in debt and the place sucked.

Most finished because of the amount of money sunk into it. But regret it more than anything, because most grad schools laugh at a degree from there.

A minute-long mp3 file of backwards, sped up electric guitar noises showed up on filesharing networks under the title of "Carnival of Light." Unfortunately, this track was a misnamed partial track (originally 1 minute 9 seconds long) by the Lord of Boothferry, a very keen Beatles-related music collector. It was recorded mid-2000, using a damaged Hondo guitar, on a digital eight-track machine, and was released under a pseudonym on Napster. The track was a response to misnamed files on filesharing networks that made outrageous claims. Although not released as "Carnival Of Light," once circulating the name of the file was changed by various fans to fit descriptions of this unreleased composition. A follow-up track named "Joker's Relief" did not gain such a "following" or misnaming.

It has never been leaked.

It could have been copied onto tape when they played it live. (the recording was played live once)
