Jimmy Eat World (http://www.jimmyeatworld.com)'s next single will be "Futures." The band has also posted a video they did while in Japan for "A Sunday" on their blog (http://www.jimmyeatworld.com/blog).

not my favorite song on the album, albeit a very good one, probably the best choice for a single though

I agree, this is probably the easiest song off the album to become a hit single. I love it. A lot of these songs have hit potential, though. I hope the video for Futures is good.

great song, the whole album is great, but i still think 'kill' would be the money song for a single...

The entire album is fantastic but futures the next single? it's like politcally motivated song and its april not Nov 2nd so i think it would have been better to release Kill or Polaris. Dont get my wrong, Futures is really good song by it should have been their first single to fit the times, doesnt really make much sense now to release it now. whateva, just my two sense.

Futures should have been the first single, really.

But it's fine if it's going to come out now. It's my favourite song off the album.

man, did they ever flub putting work out as a single. that song is fantastic, yet the terrible video just destroyed its chances. hope they put more effort into the video for futures

The "Work video was shot just down the street from my apartment, or the high school scenes at least. So I dunno, I'm partial to it.

"Futures" is an excellent single choice, although I secretly hoped for "Polaris", hands down the best song on the album. Oh well.

And what exactly are they waiting for to release "Kill" as a single? That thing would get more airplay than "The Middle" did....wait a minute...maybe its better that they dont release it.....

"Just Tonight" is still my favorite song from Futures.

Anyone else think this is a bad choice?

Kill should have been the single for sure......

Man, I'm the only motherfucker in the forums who doesn't masturbate to "Kill". Shit. I liked "Work". Never saw the video, but it's the number one played song on my iPod. Then is Ryan Adams. I don't know whether Ryan Adams is really scene, or really not scene. Because if he is, like he is the folk-rock artist that's unspokenly accepted in the punk community, like The Roots with hip-hop jazz. Fuck if I know. Oh, but "Futures". Ahh...good song. Nice to put an uptempo song out after "Pain" and "Work". People might have mistaken JEW for Travis or some other dreary band singing about rain and posthumous glory. Whatev', yo.

i'd have gone with either the world you love or kill. it just seems like they haven't been pickin the right singles for this album. it's easily as good as bleed american but isn't getting anywhere near the airplay. that album did produce two GREAT videos though....

woooohoooo Japan what! i love the On Sunday video, it's sooo cheesy and shameless but it's exactly what i'm living in here in Tokyo. and no, singing into a mic connected to a laptop that you're carrying around town is not weird! so quit staring!
