I'd like to take the time to let everyone know that I hate mae. they may not be the worst band, but they're close to it. I'm so sick and tired of all this emo music. mae sounds more like something that should be playing in the background of a nick jr. program about picking flowers and sharing your toys.

2. Writing about girls may not be the most original thing around, but it's something people relate to. And it's what's important to them as artists. If you don't enjoy them, fine. - stale, repetitive lyrics with very little creativity to them
- extremely radio-friendly music. i would be quite surprised if they were to becom quite popular after recieving some radio play
- incredible predictable song structures

now call me crazy, but i don't like "more of the same". it starts to do this crazy thing where it gets repeptitive. they fail to break any new ground with their music.

perhaps these reasons are "real"?

be sure to get back to me with some "real" responses. how about you do me one better and give me a real reason as to why some bands you hate suck.

but anyway, this is what i think of mae. they're a solid band, but not really for me. "tisbury lane", one of their b-sides, is just simply an amazing song, in my opinion. but pretty much all of the other stuff on destination beautiful doesn't sound like tisbury lane, and i dont really like it. i've heard some songs from the everglow though, and it's pretty good.
