You can read an article here (http://www.gotriad.com/article/articleview/14254/1/17/) on the rumored Drive-Thru Records (http://www.drivethrurecords.com) signing of House of Fools (http://www.purevolume.com/houseoffools).

jared you have been a monster this morning.....i think frank is gonna get jealous, haha.

this band isnt too bad but i think that what DTR really needs to do it stop pulling a victory and signing every band on the face of the earth and rather focus on the amazing talent they already have

Pretty good band. I think labels are better when they have bigger rosters. I don't understand why everyone complains about that. Victory has picked up some really solid names to - (With Honor, Comeback Kid) but that is just coz TB is trying to sell hardcore again. Remember when they were hardcore.. then he cut to pop-punk.. then he cut to pop-punkcore, now he's right back where he started. :headshake.

This band is awesome. Those songs on Purevolume were recorded in the keyboardists house with two people. Once you see these guys with the full band you will be blown away :animateds

I have two live videos of these guys, one of which they play a song that isnt on purevolume. If you are interested. Let me know.

This is where things get a little nutty — and sort of magical. Someone from Drive-Thru Records, an influential indie pop-punk label in California (Dashboard Confessional and New Found Glory are on the label),

Fact checking is so passe.

i really think this band has a really really great shot at being huge.

when they start doing shows outside of nc, everyone should give them a shot.

Yeah, I'm quite impressed with this band. From the dirty south, even!

Of course this article also says Dashboard Confessional is on their label, so who knows the credibility.

Yeah, I mean why not follow every trend and cash in and then go back to "your roots" once you have a big pocket of money. Of course thats respectable! Not to mention, comparing Comeback Kid and With Honor (I'm a fan of both) to their older roster of bands like Warzone isn't exactly doing justice.

Side note: Half their bands fall through the cracks.

I also noticed that when I read the article... But I guess since this is a local website, they might not cover this sort of stuff usually.

But on the other hand, in what possible way could you think Dashboard were still associated with drive-thru? Someone who's been frozen in time for the past 4 years?

what's the deal with all of these bands with horribly shitty names getting signed recently?

Since having a cool name determines how talented your band is and all... :headshake

Agreed. I think it's because kids think record companies can "sell out" or something... Scene kids don't want something to become TOO popular, right? Or else they have to ditch it cause now everyone knows.

yeah, I'm going to have to agree with this kid. Although I am a fan of comeback kid and with honor, they dont stand a chance against former victory bands. I'm still waiting for drive thru to sign a hxc band.

They should be signing House of Heroes instead, however, that would not be DTR's style.

there should be a clause in the contract that demands you switch your name to something cool.

And while we're on the subject of bands names , especially ones with Hero in the name....hahaha They should sign LONG SHOT HERO.

But of course...thats just my opinion..and I am definetly biased.

Whats that? Oh, hi.
