My featured download for the week is a track by one of the most refreshing, catchy pop-punk bands I've heard in a long time. Their PureVolume (http://www.purevolume.com/hudson) page caught my eye and I was suprised to hear this band wasn't signed. Check out Hudson (http://www.hudsonrock.tk/) - "Not Giving Up (http://students.washington.edu/sweber2/AP%20Downloads/Hudson_-_Not_Giving_Up.mp3)" and leave feedback!

Whenever i read a title like this... I always think Thursday has a new download... and then when i realize its not Thursday, i get sad...
Then i listen to Hudson's music and it makes me smile again =)

Surprised to hear they're not signed? Maybe Pat should add them to "Absolutely Unsigned"! :animateds

its the same old thing... i guess they play pretty good pop-punk, i just really can't take that shit anymore. I hate the new TSL and FOB, maybe its me growing up, but when I listen to stuff like this now, I just get really bored. Listen to the new Ben Folds or the new Decemberists... its much more intellectually stimulating and I think more enjoyable and long lasting.

see, i'm like you too. I don't like very much pop-punk anymore at all, but somehow this is just like a blast from the past. i dig it.

I like this, a lot. After all the musical growth I've gone through, I still enjoy a lot of pop punk. I mean smart lyrics and a unique sound are a good thing to look for in a band you've never heard before, but sometimes it's awesome to put in a CD and not have to think about what they're singing about and just have fun. This sounds like one of those bands. I definitely can't wait to hear more from these guys.
