so i've seen a lot of kids have a fit over saosin having a spot over acceptance in their tour with anberlin..so which do you believe is the better of the two

that's kind of like comparing oranges and apples, you know. acceptance plays a much more melodic and toned-down type of music, as opposed to saosin, who is driving, tough, and gritty. Granted, they both play more towards the upbeat side, but I think it's hard to distinguish the better band.

However, judging on the depth of content and musicianship, I think I might give it to Acceptance, because they write more intricate songs, and Saosin has a problem with writing very outstanding lead lines, but when you look at the chord structures, it's really only backed by like 3 or 4 chords, which can get a bit monotonous, at times.

On the other end, though, if you're talking about intensity and feeling, Saosin obviously overpowers Acceptance in that category. Saosin has a phenominal live show, but both bands are incredibly on point live, at least when I've seen them. Yet, something about Saosin makes them a bit more intriguing - maybe it's the way they carry themselves on stage. They seem to be utilizing the stage more and moving around, which makes for a more captivating show.

So, in short, on record, Acceptance is the better band. Live, on the other hand, Saosin is better.
