Figured My American Heart would win. A band with label backing can get on it themselves. Unsigned bands deserved this, not them.

It's no wonder I voted For Kudos won. They kept getting plugged on here constantly and telling people that they were up for the contest on this site. All those other bands who didn't get free publicity got assed out.

I also don't think that a band like My American Heart should have even been included. Since they now have backing from a label that could easily just put them on that event. Shit... they are already playing the entire Warped Tour... give the bands that need it a chance.

Congrats to Syndey! Some home town boys are going places woo! I just saw them like 2 weeks ago at Masonic (....its like a fucking cafeteria hahaha)

dude, your band deserves it much more than "and then I turned seven." I hate to be mean, but those guys need some work.

I don't think it was written in the rules that a band can't do promotion to get votes. In fact, I think that's what you're SUPPOSE to do. You know that old saying, "It's all about the fans" ? Well that still holds true...IV4K simply asked their fans to vote and get their friends to vote, and people did. Part of being in a band is taking the inecitive to get your name out there. You're never going to get anywhere if you just sit back and wait for things to come to you.

And how many times to we have to correct stupid people...your ignorance is radiating from my computer screen. It's I Voted For KODOS...not kudos. Not kudus. KODOS.

I know this is an old topic and the festival has already come and gone, but I thought something needed to be said in reply to what you said. The guys of IV4K work their asses off at getting themselves known, and they've worked hard to make a name for themselves. Look at all the fans they have, that should say enough right there. So until you've been in a band, toured the country, entered contests, played Bamboozle and have little girls screaming YOUR band's name, back off.
