Idle Vice is a rock band from Long Island,NY.The band has been together since 2004.Their musical ideology consists of post-punk garage rock with a callous yet unforgettably pop vocal style.Their influences range from such bands as The Movielife and Green Day, The Ramones, Led Zeppelin and Guns n' Roses to Weeze.
Since their formation,the band has 100% independently released 2 EPs:"A Way You'll Never Be..." (2006) and "Intoxication and Refreshment" (2007). their live shows have brought them to garner a large fan base in the Long Island area. Idle Vice has developed their own distinguished rock n' roll sound consisting of their signature riff-rock guitar leads and jazz influenced, but hard hitting drums. However, Idle Vice is not just another Long Island rock band that plays the same clubs and bars weekend after weekend, month after month. They have gone as far as taking the initiative to book, promote and finance two tours all on their own. In the summer of 2006, Idle Vice spent over two weeks touring the East Coast. In the fall of 2007, they took it one step further and spend three months touring around the entire United States to promote their second EP "Intoxication and Refreshments" subsequently selling close to 1,200 copies in just the first three months after its release on August 12th 2007. The band has opened for many great bands such as Armor for Sleep, I Am The Avalanche, Vince Neil, Agent Orange, and many others.
The band has spent the majority of 2008 writing and recording new material along with playing shows around the Tri-State Area. In August of 2008, Idle Vice replaced original lead singer Matty Lupinacci with friend/former lead singer of the band Doubleheader, Tim Fasano. the band began writing new music with Fasano in September 2008. Their first with Tim was Dec. 6th 2008 in Amityville, NY at Ollie's Point. The band has written 10 songs for an upcoming LP to be released in the near future.
