I like almost all those movies but I had to go with my man Kevin smith. I thought clerks was the worst movie I ever saw when I first watched it because it was in black and white and all the actors were so-Soap Opera Cheesy but then I watched it a few more times and realized the greatness that lies beneath.

I know it's cliche, but Donnie Darko is one of my all-time favorite movies.

Kind of ironic how we were supposed to stop talking about leaked albums and trading and such because of record labels and this guy here owns a record label and downloads albums. haha

I love most of those movies, but definitely Dr. Strangelove.
Oh and the American version of the Office sucks compared to the British one. I leave school and go home on the weekend just to watch it (we don't get BBC America on campus) and then I come back whenever its over.
that's so wierd, i just randomly watched pulp fiction last night. had to go with that one, it's my #4 favorite movie ever. donnie darko, clerks, garden state, virgin suicides, swingers, being john malkovich, and the usual suspects all kick ass though. oh and i'd like to second my #2 favorite movie which was suggested a few posts ago, almost famous. EVERYONE on this site should love that movie.

what about rushmore? that's a big cult movie and is really popular in the indie music scene. not to mention it's inspired titles by fall out boy, brand new, and brandston.

Yeah, it really is. Plus didn't Max say something about people with the Vs. AIDS demos not sharing them, and here they are in the recs...
AND Monty Python SHOULD NOT be losing to Donnie Darko. :headshake

the office has been really funny so far (not cool enought to have seen the original)
i voted for fight club, it still boggle my mind why anyone thinks donnie darko is a good movie, its even better when the people who like it try to expain it which you cant because its retarted, but theyll just pull any random crap out of their ass to try and make it logical ("well when the engine crashes into his room it sends him to an alternate reality"...and various bs)

i voted for other, my all time favorite would be "kentucky fried movie" me and my friends would get high and watch that movie and we'd laugh for months, even though none of us smoke pot any more, we still laugh at that movie. if you havent heard of it you should check it out, ifs fuckin hillarious
garden state is WAY overrated
I wouldn't say that but I don't think it is considered a Cult classic in my book. Monty Python shouldn't be losing to anything.

i think the original office is better, but steve carrel is doing an AMAZING job channeling ricky gervais. he works the awkward silences so well, and that episode with the "alliance" was classic.

it's not that i don't laugh at the new one, i'm just sad that they had to remake it. it was so hilarious the way it was.

I think it depends with Garden State...I can relate to 90% of that movie which may be why I love it so much...Natalie Portman is inredible in the movie too.
