Old old band, I was scrolling through on demand yesterday and my old man told me to watch the video..
They were pretty good but I was looking for some other opinions...
Yes is fucking amazing. Definitely look into this band more, you won't regret.

Hey you know, if you like it, why would you be looking for other opinions? Are you suddenly NOT going to like it if some elitist douchebag on AP bashes it? Just wondering. Like what you like, be your own person, etc.

The guy who was playing the keyboard in the video looked so out of place.
The other guys were older by a long shot and he looked like he was pushing 30
Fragile and Close to the Edge are where its at. You have to listen to those two records if you are exploring Yes. My dad likes the song "Roundabout" a lot, it's an awesome song.

No, no,
Dont get me wrong, I like what I like
But I wanted to see what others thought about them just for the sake of it
And maybe it would strike up an interesting conversation..
Or I could learn something I didnt know.

Ya "The Yes Album", "Fragile" and "Close To The edge" are some of my favorite albums.
Plus it is great music to share with my parents. It was popular music from their "time". Its cool and encouraging to see that there was a time when creative and inventive music dominated the airwaves.

The Who are ten times better than Yes, but Yes put out some good tunes.

I did in fact listen to roundabout that night.
But there was a song that played before that..
I think the lyrics were
"Your the owner of a lonely heart" ???
It was a good song.

There was also a really amazing video of Everlast where they had Johnny Cash in it singing.
It was and AMAZING video
And they changed it so much, my dad was having a great time watching how the video has changed over time.
And then later we saw the guy from everlast in the Rehab video

Close to The Edge is essential, stick with the 70's to start. So many great albums. They JUST played in Richmond @ The National... wish I could have made it.

HAHA i can't believe someone made a video like that about Yes, of all bands. This made me want to listen to Close to the Edge though so I am listening to all the bonus tracks on my deluxe edition (the one from the video)...since i don't listen to those a lot.

Easily my favorite song of theirs. Fragile is an amazing record, Close To The Edge and The Yes Album are on par with it as well. Glad to see some Relayer love, it's an awesome album too but doesn't get mentioned a whole lot. Tales From Topographic Oceans is another one that should get name-dropped more often because it's really great too.

So, my family just recently bought my uncles house because he's moving down to Bum Fucked Egypt, and we were going through things, you know, photo albums,Tapes, cd's. And I found the most interesting album,
By a guy named
Danzig.
The Cd was wonderful and I loved it.
Anybody know what his first album was??
