Cover bands are everything that is wrong with music. Sure, one or 2 songs are fine... for a comp, live once-in-a-while, or on a split 7" or something. But to try to build a career on it or be known for your covers? Way fucking lame. Go play a bar or something. Get that shit out of the mainstream and stop getting paid to play shows of other bands' material.

they are independant, don't get payed shit for their music, and play solid orignal music as well. I mean, if Guns N'Roses can get paid for shitty original material, why can't Boyce Avenue get paid for exceptional cover material huh?

unlike you, i have respect for similair bands. I mean, if you like the original sound, why does a repeat of it bother you. And if you don't like that sound in the first place, then whatever, meander on in your own little world. I like mainstream music, as far as singer-songwriter goes. Rob Thomas, John Rezeznik, Ed Roland, Patrick Monahan, Emerson Hart, Dan Layus, Stephen Jenkins all out of the 80's and ninties still going strong with their bands and otherwise, all similair in styles (except Monahan, Train changed thier sound) and all fantastic.
