Weezer - Pinkerton
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism
Weezer - Blue Album
The Decemberists - Picaresque
Say Anything - ...Is a Real Boy
Just wondering.....I always see how alot of people have Transatlanticism listed about The Photo Alum or We Have The Facts..., so I was just wondering if you people havent listened to the older Death Cab cds or just dont like them as much. Just wondering, it seems as if some people just started to listen and havent listened to the older stuff which I think is better.

I've got every Death Cab CD all the way back to You Can Play These Songs With Chords. The Photo Album definitely would be a close 6th on this list, I just like Transatlanticism better overall, mainly for the epic title track. Each song on Transatlanticism was my favorite song in my entire CD collection at one time or another for the entire year after I bought the CD, so I think it's just a little more complete than their older ones, even though they're quite awesome as well.

involving death cab:

i like alot of the older stuff a great deal but as a complete album i felt Transatlanticism was the most solid all the way through..i also like "Something About Airplanes" alot & You Can Play These Songs With Chords (a b-sides record that's A+ to me)...i have 7 of their records (couple EP's) and all are nothing short of studly...

If you say Deja Entendu, then I'd suggest you listen to any record by Morrissey and The Smiths, and you'll find that they are infinitely better than that album. The originators are always better than those who simply copy.

Excellent way to put it. If im in a ehhh/not so happy mood, DE is the way to go. If i'm feeling like partying and having a good time, or just screaming lyrics at the top of my lungs, then YFW is the key.
