Look scott, 90% of the things i post are positive and or fot the sake of fun. Yet, there are some bands (like MCR) that bother me to the point of posting in these threads about it. I truly and deeply hope that they read this. Whether they really care or not, Its my opinion. Music is my world and when I see a band like this getting flooded with money and attention, I get very upset. There are bands that ooze talant (treos, Mae, even GAD) and craft beautiful songs that go unapreciated often times because of garbage like this. I thought the very point of these threads were for OPINIONS. Positive and Negative. Now, as for me being a dick...well thats just another opinion, for the most part I just like to spice these replies up a bit, I mean c'mon man do you really wanna see OMG I LOVE THEM a thousand times in a row. ;)

ok well a lot of other people were saying the same things...you cant exclude slade simply because hes the one that bothers you. the 3rd question someone asked in this forum was why do they suck or something. if the band cant take criticism then they are honestly in the wrong business. im sure they can take hearing some bad shit about their band. a band of this popularity are going to have some haters, its the way it is. their fans are still going to stay loyal though, but those who do not like them have the same place to say something as those that do. i understand how it can become annoying but honestly this band is now huge and its going to happen. slade made a good point about gad, treos, mae and other bands that arent getting their due. i can see as a fan of those where it can get annoying. for example bands like hawthorne heights are being idolized while far more "similar" genre style bands like emery, treos, armor for sleep, etc. are not getting any recognition or respect. people are going to talk shit about bands they dont like, thats the beauty of these forums is you get multiple views whether you agree or not.

FIRST OFF: I did not isolate Slade, I talked about him spamming in every thread, but I clearly said in the second section of that post that I was talking about everyone. Your fighting a worthless battle here. I could say the same thing. Ignore the posts about hating the band if you dont like them. Besides these ask the band threads are just setting bands up anyway (in my o so humble opinion) so if people have REAL questions they should just be sent to the interviewer. THESE ARE SOME OF THE NICEST GUYS OUT THERE MAKING MUSIC WITH THE MOST INTEGRITY WHILE STILL GAINING EXPOSURE AND SUCCESS!!!

I totally understand if someone is not down with their sound, but you can't deny that these guys make the music THEY want. Their music is some of the most sincere and honest. Granted, "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" may be a little poppy for your personal taste and perfect for the radio (I, however, love it), but go listen to "Helena" (which is a single) which happens to be one of the most emotional / personal songs ever. And then spin "The Ghost of You." Those songs aren't written for anybody but the band and more than likely serves as therapy to Gerard and Mikey (if you know what the song is about then you'll know what I'm talking about). Like I said, I don't mind if someone dislikes their sound. I don't expect everybody to be a fan of any certain band, but don't attack them or discredit them for the music they're making in regards to the integrity, sincerity and heart behind it.

exactly if you honestly listen to their first album and then the new one its still the same sound. the whole "sell-out" type of comments are obsurd. however for those that said they dont like the sound, they did at least provide examples why. this band is great, im excited to see them on warped, ive only gotten to see them once since three cheers came out, hopefully they put on a great show this summer. and i hear they are headlining this fall FINALLY for three cheers.

I would like to know why they kicked Otter out. I want their side of the story. As a follow up, why did they do it in a manner where he was completely cut off with no warning. Thirdly, could you please ask if Gerard has even talked to him since he was in the band. I talked to Otter a week after it happened at he still had not heard anything from Gerard.

I have no problem with bands / people getting big that deserve it. I wish all the sucess in the world to MCR and the Minus The Bears, Say Anythings, Gatsby's American Dreams, The Receiving End of Sirens, etc. of the world and hope they sell as many albums as possible and make tons of money to support themselves and what I feel to be their amazing music careers. However, I wish poverty and failure upon the Ashlee Simpsons, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, etc. of the world as I see nothing remotely similar to creativity, originality, or even talent among them.
