Shameful as it is I don't have fuse I did, but in effort to save some cash I had scrap the Digital Cable.

the only music channels I get now are MTV,MTV2,VH1, &CMT. Yeah like any music truely comes on those channels thats worth anything.

Other than Internet Radio, & Myspace what are some good places & sites that not only keep up with great alternative but also introduce new?

slacker and pandora are good for finding new, plays an artists station and only that artist and similar ones.

any "best of " lists, (perfect time of year, the 08' awards will be coming soon)

also any satellite radio station usually has some sort countdown, i like indie type music, so ill check out the most played on Sirius - XMU college radio station, and then check out some of the bands for youself

Gasp!
I'm sorry you don't have Fuse anymore. That channel is pretty much my anti-drug. I know you said other than Myspace but that really has to be one of the biggest and best sources of new music that I can think of.

Is Fuse available outside the United States? Maybe I should try to get it.

I just went on their site to check it out. It asks for a zip code though when I went to the following part:

Pandora and this site. It seems like very music site and blog has end of the year lists, which will also be a good way of getting into new stuff.

Ahh that sucks.
I visited my cousins in Canada this past summer and the selection of music channels was rather limited. If your selection of music channels is anything like their's, I'm so sorry.

There isn't a station that'll provide you the gooey brilliance a little research on the net can provide.

Fuse is overrated. I prefer MtvU.

MTV Hits plays good songs like half the time. The other half, it's pure crap. I really could do without Lil' Wayne and T.I. and such.

Sorry I put the wrong channel the first time around.

Agreed.

Also, there is a station that is a branch off MTV that I think is called MTV Hits, and they play music videos all day long.

Mtv Hits can be hit or miss a lot of the time. I usually agree more with MtvU's rotation more.

Yeah, plus I don't like all the playlists they have from some bands/singers/rappers and even random kids they find on the streets. But at least they still play music videos on TV and thats a good thing.

pandora/purevolume are the best bets though
