I think the Rec forum blows and no one goes in there anyways from what I can tell, so:

Recently, I've been enjoying alot of the bands I checked out that get discussed on here such as Manchester Orchestra, Polar Bear Club, Gaslight Anthem, The Reign Of Kindo, etc. I need more good music to check out.
Throw out some bands you think I and others should be listening to!

Lately I've been obsessed with Fleet Foxes, but everyone should be listening to Arcade Fire, Okkervil River, and Iron & Wine.

That's just me, though.

I need to get some Iron and Wine for sure. I've never heard Fleet Foxed but will check it out.
I had the old Arcade Fire album, is Neon Bible worth looking into?

Czech eh? It's actually pretty cool, do you have them uploaded anywhere?
And are you the one that started the American Nightmare thread a ways back because that band is fantastic.

I think I did, but I'm not sure. I can upload Lvmen later if you would like. Do you have all of American Nightmare's discography?

Edit: I didn't start it, however I was the last person to post in it.

I actually only have Background Music and was pretty blown away by it, and if it's not too much trouble I wouldn't mind. I should probably grab some integrity from you too, or anything else you think I should try.

and does ANYBODY have anything remotely close to Moving Mountains? I'm listening to it for the first time and this is just incredible. I need more like this.

If you like Moving Mountains, you must listen to the Appleseed Cast.

EDIT:
You should also be listening to :

The Riot Before
The Menzingers
Fake Problems
Off with their Heads
Toys that Kill
The Ergs
The Descendents
Propagandhi
The Lawrence Arms

I plan to myspace all of those bands.
I already know I need to download propagandhi and the Lawrence Arms, and I'll letcha know how I feel about the rest.

Sounds like Hot Water Music and Small Brown Bike having sex on each other while American Steel watches.

Those were all punk bands (except Appleseed Cast obviously). But if you still need more,

Screeching Weasel
The Lillingtons
NoFX (obviously.)
Mischief Brew
Wingnut Dishwasher's Union
Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains
Bomb the Music Industry
Teenage Bottlerocket
The Steinways
Sundowner
The Falcon
Underground Railroad to Candyland
Andrew Jackson Jihad
Rosa

Not sure how you feel about folk punk, but there's some in there..

To be honest, I haven't even heard the three bands involved in the sounds like scenario, so I take it I should check out those too?

Haha I'd say it's fairly accurate. Their new album is one of the best punk records I've heard all year.

Andrew Jackson Jihad, I listened to last week sometime, would that be Folk Punk?

Okay, and what the fuck is this orgcore/skramz stuff.

Going to have to listen to them based on the description. Trying to figure out what it means to have sex on each other though

Yeah. Especially hot water music.

AJJ is folk punk.

Skramz is skramz. A lame term for screamo. You will know when you listen to it. It's stuff like Orchid, Saetia,Khayembii Communique, Ampere, Comadre (maybe? Or are they just hardcore punk?), etc etc not really a huge fan personally outside of a few bands.

Orgcore is like Lawrence Arms and Hot Water Music. Music people on punknews.org go crazy over.

I think I'll probably like Orgcore. I like Larry Arms and am not a fan of saetia.

Not all screamo bands sound like Saetia. Try the others listed and see if you like them at all. There's also foreign screamo bands that are a lot different (like Amanda Woodward). Oh and try City of Caterpillar and Pg 99. Two of the best.
