Sorry, I don't appreciate garbage. As for me being president, it depends on the political landscape when I decide to run. Perhaps the people will be open to a socialist president. If not, there is always a bloody revolution.

I think dom would win without your vote.

1 vote usually doesn't matter.

In order for a bloody socialist revolution a la Marx, wide-spread immiseration is required.

The poor and the working poor outnumber those doing well. Once we get power, all those who oppose us will be murdered. So, only like minded people will be around.

Most poor and working poor who live in a capitalist economy are not miserable enough to believe that by destroying the current system they will be better off.

Only because they are unaware of what's going on. Enlighten them and the rabble will be mighty pissed off

As long as they get their paycheck every week they are not gonna forsake capitalism.

They'll learn the truth of how the system betrays them.

The system allows them to choose the job which will pay them the highest salary. There is no betrayal there, must people already know that truth. You might too when you get a job.

That high salary job will be outsourced to the east.
Well, that is cause too many people are out there buying foreign products. Keeping the $$ out of our economy. You can't discredit smart business.
In a capitalistic economy, nothing stops you from having this thing called an idea and creating your own company.
Talk of socialism, but the "poor" people will be just as upset because they will have to pay higher taxes.

what do you mean nothing stops people? How about big businesses who will buy out your idea and sell it for ten times the price and fool people that they give the best offers in the world. You can talk about how great capitalism is but look closer and you'll see that there is no room for the little man...no room for mom and pop shops...no room for for the individual.

I have a job. And it does betray them, as it dictates there must be a lower class.

Depends on where you live? In big cities, yes.
But I know mom and pop shops that overprice their products. If they lowered their prices, they could easily compete.
Thank about it, everything starts somewhere. Capitalism gives you the ability to expand.
We don't have mom and pop shops because we are a service economy anyway. We import everything and people buy it all because we care about the little countries.

both sides are hypocrites.
Whether a socialistic or capitalistic economy, we as Americans we'll always find something bitch about.

Your right, but there is no way to eliminate the lower class. Capitalism gives people the greatest oppurtunity to raise out of the lower class in the shortest amount of time.

That has been a sharp decline in social mobility in this country.

I think that there may be a non-religious president in our lifetime, although no atheist or non-Christian president (i.e. Buddhist, Jewish, etc.).
Imagine the presidential debate: Dom vs Arnie
