Firstly, is anyone familiar with it? If not, it's basically like the Indian version of Hollywood except it's not a place. A Bollywood movie is just an Indian movie, that's all.
My family's bengali, so I was/am surrounded by it quite a bit.
Horrible acting. Terrible action scenes. Worst 'special' effects known to man. An average of 3 hours of pure badness. Escpecially for those having grown up watching the amazing American movies that are out there.
Comments from those who are familiar with Bollywood?

I've only ever seen one Bollywood film....It was called "The Chess Players". Overall not a bad movie....I find it interesting that they combine genres and that it's totally normal for a musical number to break out at any moment.

I've also seen a few clips from various Bollywood films....I kind of want to check out "Dil Chahta Hai", I saw a clip of it and the song they were singing was actually pretty catchy haha...Too bad I can't find it anywhere.

That's actually a good movie, one of the few that I like. Do you have any indian stores in your area? There's an indian grocery store in my town that also rents out movies hah random but yeah that's where my parents get their movies.

MUMBAI:

Katrina Kaif’s decision to do two Yash Raj Films (YRF) with warring Khans — Salman and Shah Rukh — has raised eyebrows, but the actor is unperturbed and argues there are no camps in Bollywood.

Katrina is set to start shooting with Salman Khan for Ek Tha Tiger next week and her film with Shah Rukh, which is veteran direcor Yash Chopra’s untitled venture, is expected to go on floors in a few months’ time. I have some information about A.R.Rehman..
Skilled in Carnatic music, Western classical, Hindustani music and the Qawwali style of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahman has been noted to write film songs that amalgamate elements of these music systems and other genres, layering instruments from differing music idioms in an improvisatory manner. Symphonic orchestral themes have accompanied his scores, occasionally employing leitmotif. In the 1980s, Rahman recorded and played arrangements on monophonic sound, synonymous with the era of his musical predecessors K. V. Mahadevan and Vishwanathan–Ramamoorthy. In later years his methodology changed as he experimented with the fusion of traditional instruments with new electronic sounds and technology Mere Brother Ki Dulhan Songs (http://www.ejannat.com/mere-brother-ki-dulhan-songs-mp3-video-download/)
