Man, young kids just dont understand how easy it is to write songs. I still say the easiest way is to find a simple melody on an acoustic, throw in a bass line and drums and try and get fancy with keys or synth or something. then Lyrics.
Writin lyrics first is like trying to find pants that match a certian pair of shoes. its easier when you have pants and need to find the shoes. IMO.
