Don't mean to look ahead but if both Nova and JMU win their first round matches. You are looking at a rematch in round 2 at JMU. The ending to the first game was intense enough.

JMU I follow only because the Sagarin ratings (one of the systems used in determining BCS) has JMU ranked in like the high 30's, over some teams are definitely going to bowl games. It's interesting to follow.

They are also in the most difficult conference in the FCS. And there was no way they were going to beat JMU. I thought they had a chance vs UNH but blew it there.

The only thing I am surprised about i the pick of Liberty being left out and Maine getting in. Liberty went 10-2 and beat Elon, who, had they won, was pretty much a given for a tourney entry. Maine is in the CAA and played well against the top teams but still had 4 losses. If they survive past the first round I will be extremely surprised.

I also think that Villanova is far better than an 8 seed and could definitely be a dark horse team to get far.

Grizzlies up 21-13 on Texas State. Texas State jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but we've been tooling them since that point. Bring on Cal Poly or Weber State!

To be honest I think I'd rather see Weber State again even though we beat Cal Poly and lost to Weber, due to fear of their freak receiver Ramses Barden. Barden is ridiculous; keep an eye on this guy, as he will be a pro next season for sure.

I'm rooting for Nova, because last time we had a night game on ESPN2 was one of the funnest times of my life. It was two years ago against UMass and I was so fucking hammered and got really high and broke my pipe after the game, and my best friend almost fought someone. I can only hope it will be as fun now my junior year as it was my freshman year if we get another home night game.

I certainly would've made it if we could have a home game, but damn Nova couldn't pull it off! Oh well, we were lucky to even have a home game against Weber State considering the way they destroyed us in the regular season.

Looking back, I can't believe they selected an 8-4 Maine over an 8-3 Jacksonville State when Maine played 2 non D-1 opponents. They put 5 teams from that conference in the playoffs and none of them made it to the finals. Should've gave Perrilloux a chance..

Richmond made it to the finals...

2 of the 5 made the semis while 4 of the 8 were in the quarters in the quarters. And UNH was a last second FG away from making it to the semis. No matter how you look at it the CAA is the best conference in Div 1-AA. I agree that Maine should have been the odd man out. But you the other 4; JMU, Nova, UNH, and Richmond all had to be in there.

Hmm.. I guess I forgot Richmond was in the CAA. I'm not really knocking the conference at all, it's way ahead of the OVC but I just couldn't believe they put Maine in over some of the other teams on the edge of getting the bid. When the coaches here looked at the scenarios it would take to get us into the playoffs, Maine was never mentioned as a team likely to get in. Either way, I wouldn't be complaining if we would have just beaten those two conference teams that kept us from getting the conference's automatic bid.
