Ironically, if they caught you buying cigarettes, they would probably just tell you to go home and then slap a huge fine on the clerk & store you were buying them from. So stupid. But yes, it really is illegal for a minor to smoke.

Actually in NC you are allowed to smoke at 16 but you aren't allowed to buy the cigs until you are of legal age [18].
Obviously something happens between then when someone hands a cig to a minor.. pretty sure parents dont buy cigs for their children haha

It's not all about the relation between a parent and their kid. That's just part of it. It's more about life and death and making sense of it all. It really is an incredible book. I'd recommend it to anyone, I think anyone can read it and learn from it.

BTW when I'm stressed I usually: play my xbox360, acoustic guitar, write, make up soothing/enjoyable stories in my head(like a modern fairytale, something cute and quick), listen to music. keep in mind I have experience with this type of situation. I get stressed easily due to my terrible anxiety issues, so I always force myself to look at the lighter side of life, however hard it may be sometimes.
