Yes, there are threads on alcohol and there are threads on smoking but, to my dissatisfaction, I notice a distinct lack of appreciation for the heavenly combo.

You go to any party and you'll find multiple individuals, especially of the female variety, that want to bum a smoke but "only smoke when their drunk." But is it the inhibition on their senses that make them forget the serious health risks rolled in a square? No, it's the subconscious knowledge that cigarettes are always better with beer and beer is always better with a smoke.

This is also a huge problem for me. Sober, I settle at about 3 packs a week (now that I'm trying to quit, get back in athletic shape). While drinking, a pack takes a couple hours.

I completely agree with this. I am growing tired of government encroachment as of late. This is kinda unrelated but they recently passed a "smoke ban" in my area. This ban allows the government to FINE people who have smoke coming from their chimneys. This is the first time in 20 years that we have not lit an old fashioned log fire, its very sad. As if that wasn't bad enough, they can also force you to attend "smoke school".. GO AMERICA!!

I guess the question is, where do you draw the line? There has to be one. The more government tells me what I can and cannot do, the more I will speak out against it. Let the bar owners decide if they will allow smoking or not.

combined is wonderful. A cigarette when you're on the drunk side of buzzed is a wonderful thing.

As for what kind, I like quality beer, not too picky as long as it's good. Last night I had some Scarlet Lady, Golden Monkey, and a chocolate porter that was great but I forget the name. Tonight I enjoyed a Sam Adams Brown Ale, which was nice.

I generally prefer Camels, but not the flavored ones like the signature blends, which taste a bit artificial to me. Crushes are fun, but honestly you can find both better regular and better menthol cigarettes so they're not worth it except for the novelty factor; and I'm not a huge fan of menthols anyway. I usually get Filters. And Turkish Silvers are soo smooth and nice they're not fair.

I'll be on the look out for it. I'll check next time I go to the tobacco shop I usually go to and see if they have any. I recently tried this Amsterdam tobacco. Forgot the full name of it. Not good at all so avoid that. How's the taste etc?
