Notice a bug on the website? Something that doesn't look right or work right? Please submit it to us in this thread. You can give us the best information for fixing it by using the following format.
Quick description of what you were doing and what happened.
A screen shot of what happened.
A run down of your browser and operating system.
A URL/link to the page that caused the problem.
Any information that may be helpful in re-creating this problem. Please note: This thread is not for suggestions or comments - it is for bugs and problems. If you want to make suggestions or comments - please leave those here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=27928922#post27928 922).
I'm not sure if you saw this in the other bug thread, so I'll re-post it here:
In news threads, on the first page it'll say, for example "Displaying posts 1 - 15 of 58", but on the second page it'll say "Displaying posts 15 - 30 of 58", rather than "16 - 30".

Also not sure if this constitutes a "bug" or if it's supposed to be this way with the new site, but I've noticed in the newer threads since the new AP.net became available, it will let you quote and multi quote, but it won't allow you to pick and choose what you are quoting. For example, if someone says a ton of stuff that takes up a million text lines and you only want to quote one line, by hitting "reply" you are quoting everything, not just the sentence or words you need. This could be so that no one alters the words of someone else, but again, I'm not too sure if this is a bug or known issue that will remain in place.

You can hit multi-quote on just the one post, then click 'post a comment,' then it takes you to the same page that the old 'quote' button used to. Just like a milti-quote, except you're only quoting one post.
Either that, or after you click the reply button and it snaps to the quick reply box, click 'go advanced.' That will take you to that same page.
Or you can always quote it and then edit your post afterward.

Stil Think it would be nice to see number of blog views and entries at the top of the page instead of having to go all the way to the bottom of the page.

Not a bug per se, as I think it was the same in the old version, but it bugs me nevertheless. I don't understand why, when clicking the headline of a newspost on the front page (or the Read More link whenever it appears) opens the thread in a new window.
I know clicking on the number of replies will open it up in the same window, but sometimes I click on title by accident, and it's slightly annoying.
I can probably live with it if I have to though :-)

I found a small issue in the New Website Suggestions (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=701432) thread.
It says: This thread is not for bugs or problems - it is for bugs and problems.Perhaps the bolded part should say something along the lines of "comments and suggestions." ;-)
I'm an asshole.

We've always had it that way so there are two options for viewing ... some people like to view it in a new tab, others inpage.

Alright, now I know that I will have to continue clicking on the replies at least.

I'm not sure if this fits here or not, but the time of posts has been wrong for the past few days. I had it on Eastern Standard time plus auto-correction for DST, but it was an hour in the future from what it was really supposed to be. I just changed it to Central Standard to get the correct time to appear but that's not actually correct since I'm on the East Coast.

In your options did you have it to auto detect DST? Mine is set to EST (GMT -5:00) with auto detect for DST and it works fine.

Quoting in news post threads is not working for me. When I hit the "quote" button, the screen jumps down to the "quick reply box" but does not include the quote in the post. Does this in every news thread.

Works fine for me...
So when you post it doesn't quote the text?

Right. It just skips down to the "quick reply box". The only way I'm able to quote in a news thread (I just figured out) is to click multi-quote, then go to "reply". It works just as fine I suppose.

It quotes just like every other part of the website when using quick reply - you just have to click "post quick reply".

Yeah, but after you actually type text and submit with the quick reply it posts you post along with the quoted text. The quoted text never appears in the quick reply box; that's how it's always worked.

That's cause it looks lame lowercase.

Could be an isolated incident, but over in the Hit the Lights Podcast thread, I tried to put: HTL FTW, but it is dropping the TL and TW to lowercase. I've never seen that before. It worked as H T L F T W, but not sure why it didn't work like it usually does.

There is a function to keep you from putting all caps.
BUT YOU COULD DO THIS

Just a small point, but my timezone's wrong. I put myself on GMT (because that's where I am), and the time said 4:30pm when it was 10:30pm, so I've had to set it to GMT +6 for the time to be right.
Any ideas what's up?

Every now and again when I go to post in a thread, a message comes up saying 'No thread specified', or something like that. The post still goes through, but it just means I am not directed back to the post. Here's a screenshot:

That has something to do with an image someone has posted, either in the thread in their signature.
If you post a link I can probably fix it.

A username and password are being requested by http://stumail.riverdell.k12.nj.us. The site says: "stumail.riverdell.k12.nj.us"
when I tried copying it this was all I got, seems like it's someone in the post your picture thread if that helps
edit: definitely the post your picture thread since it's happened to me 4 times there today and I haven't gotten in it 2 days elsewhere

AP has logged me out twice today while I was browsing the forums.
EDIT: 9 times now.
EDIT #2: After leaving for a few hours, AP won't stay logged in for longer than a minute or two. After every page or two that I load, I get logged out. I'm not having any problems staying logged into other sites. I'd really appreciate some help/feedback about this problem.

Or more likely that Norton is a terrible anti-virus and an even worse program in general.
:woot:
Does that look like a trojan? That smiley has been used for years here; it's definitely not.
