what exactly do you do in mechanical engineering...like you specifically what is your focus or is that for later on (when you pursue a masters/doctoral degree...which you better do or else!)...I'm guessing you focus a lot more on the kinetics side of physics but what kinda jobs are out there for mechanical engineers (other than being a grease monkey :))

I'm gonna be a senior next year, and I started off the year in BC, after getting to skip AB. I managed to pull off a B, but I had very little idea of what I was doing, so I dropped back down to AB second semester to get a better understanding. It was basically just review, since BC first semester was just a crash course of AB. Hopefully the second semester BC stuff won't floor me this year. Anyway, my senior year classes

AP Calc BC
AP English Lit.
AP Physics
CATCOM (multimedia thing)
Psych (first semester) / Sociology (second semester)

And I'm contemplating taking AP classes that aren't offered at my high school, just because I think they'll prove useful to me later on for college. I'm already taking a few that are offered in my high school Junior and Senior year.

Well I had worked my ass off all throughout HS (and it paid off cause I was rank 2) so I wanted to relax senior year. But since I was all advanced/AP...they put me in a bunch of AP classes. My bigger plan was to take those classes but not the AP exam for it (since it's not required) so that in college I could ace the class. For example, had I taken the AP chem exam and my score transferred...I'd have two options...either take a year off from chem or start freshman year taking organic chem. I dunno if you know, but organic chem is one of the hardest classes a science person will ever take (my AP chem teacher, a PhD in chem, said she near failed her organic chem class)...so I don't wanna do either because in the end, both are not beneficial for me. So instead, I took AP chem as a senior and I had a "jump start" on college chem and I opted to not take the exam...my school gave me a shit load of trouble about it but their threats were retarded. But this plan fits into my specific scenario...I'm a science oriented student...you may or may not be...the college I was accepted into only accepted 30 credits and I already had 20...I really didn't need much more...the college I go to now is not financially straining but if I had opted to go to a private institute...I def. woulda taken more AP exams..

bottom line, my plan senior year was to relax but still play my cards right so that I could still get some things done. Plus, taking AP classes gives you an idea of how the "real world" works. If you need more info on what I did, just ask, I'm more than happy to help.

Yeah, thats a good point.
ya it'll also save you some money...the more credits u have to take, the more cash you have to shell out.

and cause of my AP credits...I can technically say I'm a junior (even though I'm gonna be a sophomore acc. to years) and that's pretty pimp.

I think I was done with all my regents requirements by junior year. I finished the math sequences by 10th grade...done with sciences including physics by 11th grade...done with english by 11th grade...and same with history...so ya by the time I was a senior I had no more regents classes. I signed up for AP calc, AP chem, AP literature, and AP gov't...I only took the exam for AP calc. trust me, I like to help...not the least bit annoying.

I never really doubled up on anything. I started sequential I in 8th grade (so I was done with sequential III by tenth grade)...then I started earth science in 8th grade (so I was done with science regents shit by 11th grade)...our english policy was insane but everyone took it their junior year...foreign language I started in 8th grade...so by 10th grade I was done (took my regents sophomore year)...so I never really doubled up, I just started a year early cause I was on the "advanced track".
