MTV2 (http://www.mtv2.com) will "unleash" the video for Fall Out Boy (http://www.falloutboyrock.com)'s first single, "Sugar, We're Goin' Down", from their new album, From Under The Cork Tree, next Tuesday.

I think they're refering to the REAL video. The one you saw on the site a couple of weeks ago when they counted down to it was just a homemade one for the fans and a chance to hear the song. Unless you're refering to a different video...

I have been listening to this album alot as of late (mainly cause I keep forgetting my CD wallet in my house) and It somehow is growing on me. I dont know why, but from track 4 to about 10 I find myself just letting the cd keep going.

mtvU has been playing the live footage version of this song for a while. i was under the impression that there was a good version that was going to be coming out eventually, but now i'm not so sure.

the video that they had streming on their site is a homemade video just for fans. The video premiering next week is the real video clip for the song.

I've got a feeling when the video hits MTV they're gonna play it all the time and it'll be like My Friends Over You by New Found Glory and everyone will stop liking Fall Out Boy. That'll be a bummer.

The video that comes out Tuesday is an all-new video. It was just finished late last week and it's nothing like the lo-fi video that's on their site, mtvu and mtv in the uk.

I totally agree. It would be terrible if that happened even though it seems like it is happening more and more. Labels want to push there bands and MTV puts them into constant circulation and everyone begins to hate the band because that's the "cool" thing to do. I can't tell you how many times I have seen videos by Hawthorne Heights and My Chemical Romance played to death lately. You turn on one music channel and it's MCR you flip to the other one and it's MCR.

I completely DISAGREE. If fans are going to start to dislike a band because of their newfound popularity, so be it. It is almost as if MTV is going to filter out the fake fans who jumped on the "I like fall out boy because they have a good sound and they are not that big yet so it is OK to like them," bandwagon.

I don't think that I correctly portrayed what I was trying to say in my first post. I am sided with you. I guess I had two seperate points and didn't seperate them very well. 1) I hate that it is suddenly cool to only like "unpopular" bands that are "underground." You're not the only person to hear of these bands and if they're good they're probably going to become more mainstream. I just hate how people are like "Wow they totally suck now that they have videos, let's talk about how bad they are." I hate how that is the cool thing to do. 2) I just hate how MTV overplays videos just cause they're the "it" band at the time. The sheer overplaying of these songs ruins them because you hear them so much. However this doesn't make the band shitty in any way. If the band was good in the first place, they will continue to be good even if one song is overplayed. Example: "Helena" by My Chemical Romance now makes me change the channel but I still love both their cds and all the other songs on them.

is watching mtv2 or whatever the only way to see the video or is it gonna be up on their site sometimes soon?
