I saw the FOB/FBR/Friends tour in Nashville on April 19th. The Academy Is stole the show there too. They could possibly be my favorite live band (up there with Taking Back Sunday, who I saw back in October...regardless of what people say, TBS shined live that night...Adam's charisma and stage presence were off the charts)...they sound so fucking good. Fall Out Boy I thought was better in October than this last time, but Patrick was sick...maybe he was still sick, he sounded sick on the Fuse 7th Avenue Drop special too...I hope it's just a little sickness and not anything major...

So, basically what you are saying is you don't like singers with clean voices? Do you need to have a raspy, gravelly voice? I see no problem with a singer that has a good voice...personally. And there are tons of other pop-punk bands that I'd listen to FallOutBoy over any day. Pretty much all of them, really. But other than that...I respect your opinion.

Haha, I grew up listening to west coast rap, and I still think Jay Z is among the best rappers today. I listened to the Blueprint like crazy in high school. I like Kanye too.

If you have ever seen Fall Out Boy live, you would realize that the "clean and fake" sound is beautifully replicated live. I was really impressed by how great FOB sounds live. You should give their latest release a listen, as the vocals aren't nearly as poppy as their debut.

See as much as I love FOB I dont think they always sound the greatest live in terms of vocal. Perhaps it was just different ways that I heard them. When I saw them live a month back the vocals sounded great live, but when I saw their 7th Ave drop set on FUSE I thought they sounded pretty crummy. Perhaps it was just the acoustics or something.

Until I saw Acceptances set on AOL I thought there was no way in hell they could sound so good live, but unless somehow that was very edited(which one would be led to believe that "Sessions at AOL" would indicate a live one take performance) the vocals sounded fucking flawless..

if it helps the case at all, jay-z and LA reid were at bowery ballroom a couple weeks ago to see the bravery do their last show of their headlining tour. and as you may know, the bravery is another idj artist doing relatively well. and yes, jay-z had his bentley waiting for him at curbside.
