Straylight Run (http://www.straylightrun.com) and Unwritten Law (http://www.unwrittenlaw.com) are scheduled to headline Drexel University's "Spring Jam" on Saturday, May 14th.

God, i wished we got bands like that. Instead we get OAR and other shitty typical college music. I would kill to see Alkaline Trio or Motion City at my school.

they've kicked out rob, their guitar player, Russo now sings and plays guitar and they're continueing on as a 4 piece.

I saw OAR two weeks ago....best show I've ever seen...maybe not everyone on this site is into them and thats cool but they were fuckin amazing...just thought I'd put thatout there

Anyways, wasn't Unwritten Law on that mtv show "Sweet Sixteen" playing at a little girls birthday party?

I agree with you...any band in that genre is kinda a DMB wannabe....so for those of us who cant afford the 50 dollars to go see him....go see OAR

Man, OAR just plain sucks but what sucks more are their live shows and the people that attend them. Last time I saw them everyone in the crowd was dressed like IVY league preppy jocks that walked around like their shit don't stink. I went because I got free tickets from the 9:30 Club in D.C. and I left after 3 OAR songs, I could not take it. :headshake

think thats weird? i wish i could give you a link to a review some girl wrote on the new comeback kid cd in our school newspaper... too weird and funny, had me pissing my pants.

Has anybody had a good band come to their school? Oh i forgot, we had Gavin DeGraw too, that was great. Our campus paper had an article about fifteen year old girls throwing their panties at him. Great, huh!

motion city soundtrack and jamison parker played a free concert with some other band at st joes university for their students back in april

well, i can say that drexel has better taste than the University of Minnesota...
By enrollment, the second biggest school in the nation, and who did we get to play at our "spring jam?"

you had one good show this year thus far.... gatsbys american dream, circa survive, and bear vs shark. i havent heard of a better show.... and personally... St Joes out did you guys, Motion City Soundtrack, JamisonParker, and Something Corporate, FREE!

yeah dude, im not real content with the way the school has done things... but having straylight run play for spring jam is pretty cool, ill get to see michelle again... for free :D
