I'm looking for a new distortion/Overdrive pedal.
right now I have an overdrive/distortion Boss od-2 pedal, so it has both, I can set it to distortion or overdrive, but I'm very unhappy with the sound of it.
The guitar I have is a Tom Delonge Epiphone(awaits insults)
Currently i've been using my Zoom g1x pedal for distortion/overdrive and whatever effects that are on my Boss-BR 600 Recorder.

But, after about 5 months of the same tones, I need a new pedal!
The amp I have is a Fender FM100H Half stack, so I don't have the greatest amp, but its still a beast and can produce sounds quite nicely.

What pedals do you guys use for the awesome sound of your axe?
I need suggestions.
Keep it under 150 dollars.
I just blew 250 on a Nova delay pedal, haha.
ech.

Most people use their amps for distortion. Overdrive pedals are really meant to overdrive the input of a tube amp to send it into distortion...

I'm just saying that buying a pedal isn't going to give you good tone, you need a better amp for that...

Screaming Eagle is a good overdrive pedal

I'm not a huge fan of most distortion/overdrive pedals. Everyone has different preferences for the tone and style of music they're going for so there's not really a universally great distortion/overdrive. I personally use a modded Rat distortion and a modded boss DS-1. Rats are only worth it though if you can find an american made one.
