Molson Park?
What if it rains?
josiahh
05/05/05, 10:12 PM
molson park seems a bit excessive...
and if it rains it will be rad....it rained at warped a couple years ago and made it ten times better...there was actually steam coming up fromm the crowd....

EWWW fucking Molson Park.
Aren't there condos on that land?
josiahh
05/05/05, 10:16 PM
there's supposed to be development on that land, but it keeps getting delayed...which is good since it's really the only place for warped tour...

These venues are huge. It would be sweet if they make this tour in to a small festival with 2 stages, but prob unlikely.

Well Downsview Park would be amazing if the government would give it up. Skydome sucks for it but atleast it's in the city.
I Mentioned this earlier.
I saw Green Day last night in London Ont. and I promise you, the 77, 000 people that walk out of Giants Stadium will not be disappointed.
Green Day puts on a show that words cannot descibe.. I think its the ora that Billy brings that makes it so special. I love Jimmy Eat World, and I love My Chemical Romance, but going to just see those bands is a waste of your time and money.. MCR played like 5 songs last night while Green Day played about 2 hours.
I urge everyone to see this band once before they're done... and who knows when that could be.
By the Way.. all you newposted missed this... Wish a happy birthday to Mike Dirnt of Green Day... he turned 33 yesterday.

are you implying that going to see just Jimmy Eat World is a waste of time and money? i hope not, because if you are, then man are you wrong.

Im saying if thats the only reason you are going, you may be dissappointed.. I mean I went to see MCR last night thinking they would have a longer set than in the Taste of Chaos... and it turned out their set was shorter.. LUCKILY, i love green day... so even though the opening act was good but short, green day backed it up with a long amazing set.
the point im trying to make is.. go see this show.!

skydome was absolutely awful....and downsview park i have never been to but if it can handle SARS-stock, i'm sure it can handle warped tour....haha

ok, after this tour, i think green day needs to do a tour in the fall following in the foot steps of nine inch nails, system of a down, coldplay, etc, and do a "guerilla" tour of clubs. i mean, when was the last time green day DIDN'T play in an arena? I saw them in norfolk last month, and the capasity was no more than 8,000. and i felt pretty damn luckky.
so, boys, how about a club tour?
9:30 club? Metro? Fillmore? First Avenue?
I mean, what do you have to lose?
besides money.
some of us have been around since the beginning, yet can't seem to avoid seeing you in an arena.

Wow. I think Vancouver might possibly be one of the smallest venues on the tour. For a show like this, I'd imagine there'd probably be about 10,000.

To be perfectly honest, I think that neither My Chemical Romance or Jimmy Eat World are good bands to see in this sort of setting. I've seen Jimmy Eat World at a radio festival before and they just got swallowed up by the size of the stage (and the crowd).
My Chemical Romance, too...I saw them open up for Green Day at Amherst, MA last weekend and they just weren't hacking it on that stage. They rocked out, sure. But it's just not the same as seeing them in a small setting. They aren't an arena rock band.

You'll get about 15k-25k in the Office Depot Center (Sunrise) I'd think. Green Day was just here with MCR about two weeks ago, so I don't think they'll pack the place. But I'll be there.

Why cant the WA date be at the Gorge an outside venue would be so cool for Greenday. Yes the Tacoma dome is way closer for me but I love the shows at the Gorge and the only punk show they have every year is Warped. The 2 years that blink played there was like the best shows I have ever been to. Also who is the 3rd band on this tour since I dont think MCR is staying around for this leg?

i really wish they would switch their live show around, it's gotten to the point where i know exactly what billie joe is going to say, or what sound he's going to make at an exact point in a song...
the only time i've ever been surprised at a green day show is when they busted out "at the library" in november

I guarantee that The Palace will be filled with 20,371 people who would much rather be at St. Andrew's or Clutch Cargo's or Alvin's. Green Day conveniently scheduled themselves to play the Palace right before U2 comes to play it. Hmmmmmm.....
