In anticipation of the new album, what is your favorite MxPx album?

Ten Years And Running because it has all the good songs, haha. But let me think.

Slowly Going the Way of The Buffalo.

I'm honestly trying to think and I have no clue what my favorite is...haha...I'm listening to all my MxPx albums at work right now. I already got through Teenage Politics and I love that album and now I'm listening to Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo and I love that album too. I can pretty much listen to every album all the way through and love every song, so it's a hard decision. :/

I'd say Life In General as far as regular album, not best of.

I've only ever heard one of their songs. I've never got round to being interested in them. What are they like?

Either Ten Years and Running, Life and General, and I'll probably be the only one to say this, but Before Everything and After.

One of the best pop punk bands ever.

This thread has inspired me to get out some old Mxpx and listen again. It's been along time.

I didn't think Before Everything and After was horrible, it wasn't their best, but it wasn't horrible....

Haha, good. This thread was inspired by listening to old school MxPx. :)

Are you serious?! I added you to my MSN contact list because I want to hook you up with some of their albums. They are probably one of the best lesser known (I mean that as far as they'e not like Blink 182 where they get ridiculous amounts of radio and TV play) pop punk bands out there and they're the reason I listen to the music I listen to now. I fuckin' love MxPx. :)

"The Ever Passing Moment". It was their songwriting at its best. As for "Before Everything and After", it was horrible. They sounded like Good Charlotte.

Haha

I didn't think it sounded THAT bad, but it was a definate stray away from what they used to put out. I'm really excited to hear the new album, especially if it's supposed to sound like their old stuff.

Maybe because people from Good Charlotte sang on a couple songs as well.

I agree, "The Ever Passing Moment" is by far their best album to date. I'm waiting for the "I like their older stuff, but the new albums suck" people to show up.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan, but whenever one of their songs comes on, its fun to rock out to. And "Doing Time" is tons of fun to play on guitar.

I've heard three songs off the new album, and it sounds as though it's going to be a letdown. The songs were really fast, and easily forgettable.

I'm waiting for Tate to weigh in on this one. Isn't he all over their nuts for the new album?

Damnit Dom, why must you make me disappointed?! :P

Well, we have conflicting opinions on music however, so maybe for me it will be a great album....

He seems to be all nuts over every album that comes out lately...

While there's definitely some good albums out recently, a lot of stuff is overrated.

Very true...I dunno, I was insanely impressed by The Higher's album and he seemed to have nothing to say about that.

I think he's made some things out to be a lot bigger than they really were. He seems easily excitable...haha

It's true though, no offense to Tate, but he gets giddy as a school girl (or though it seems) over albums all the time....lol

Who do you think you're fooling? I look at your sig, and I see "Dashboard Confessional". It's not exactly the epitome of musical maturity.

One day soon. You'll be all like, "Dude, this band roxorz my soxorz......er.........offsorz", and they'll suck more ass than Senses Fail, and that is when you will be smitten by my mighty hand.
