Really excited for this. I've been a fan for many years, and I saw them for the first time at Warped Tour this year. Definitely my highlight of that whole day.

Once the tour finally starts, I want to avoid reading up the setlists that may possibly get posted in here, I have all the albums except Cheer Up and I'd rather keep everything a surprise.

Ticketmaster doesn't have tickets available for the NYC show...is it sold out? And the Montclair show isn't listed on Streetlight's Myspace...if the NYC is sold out, I would go to Montclair, but I would like to see Streetlight...

wait...its sold out in NYC? uh-oh...my friend was going to go but didnt get his ticket yet...d'oh!

also, to buy tickets for the new haven show, u have to go to the Toad's Place website [google it]

it seems like the feud between ticketmaster and livenation has begun, tickets for all roseland ballroom shows are unavailable on ticketmaster, but available on livenation, so it seems livenation has the rights to sell tickets for roseland, i believe live nation also has irving plaza and gramercy theater, if u want reel big fish tickets check livenation.com, should have em

CharlieY23

I'm extremely worried that the Denver show sold out. Ticketmaster is unable to find tickets, even though a few days ago I checked it and there were some left, and LiveNation doesn't even have Denver listed on the tour page. I'm hoping for the love of Chris Hanson that I can buy em' at the door, or even off a scalper.

Everything sucks (pun intended). The show sold out, and I was really close to getting tickets from these two kids who couldn't get in because they forgot their IDs, but some ticket scalping fuck got to them before I could, and he put 20 more bucks on top of what he payed from the kids. They're playing right this second I bet too, ugh. adfkl;gkadfjgjfgfd

I was at the Omaha, NE show last night, so this is what I remember. One Pin Short opened, but it was their last night touring with Streetlight and RBF. All I know is that they did a cover of a Sublime song, a cover of Fastball's "Where Were They Going?", and finished with "Waiting". There were some other songs in there, but I don't know the name of them.

Streetlight Manifesto was awesome, but they had a really short setlist. This is what I remembered, in no particular order:
This Is A Call To Arms
Down, Down, Down To Mephisto's Cafe
Failing, Flailing
Forty Days
Here's To Life
Point / Keasbey Nights / Counterpoint
Watch It Crash
We Will Fall Together
Somewhere In The Between

Reel Big Fish was easily the raddest, so much fun had by all. They had a really long setlist. In no order:
Another F.U. Song
Authority Song
The Bad Guy
Ban The Tube Top
Taquila/Beer
Boss DJ
Don't Start A Band (Aarron forgot the words, and had to stop and try to remember them)
I'm Her Man
Join the Club
The Kids Don't Like It
Kiss Me Deadly
The New Version of You
Nothin' But A Good Time
She Has A Girlfriend Now
Trendy
Where Have You Been?
You Don't Know
Your Guts (I Hate 'em)

Encore

I know I'm missing a bunch, but that's what I remember. I know, no SR. Still, an amazing show.

I'll be seeing this show tour in Toronto on January 30th. We get Streetlight headlining, with support from AWS and The Swellers.

I'm a big RBF fan (have been for years and years now), but considering I've seen them 4 or 5 times, and have yet to see A Wilhelm Scream or The Swellers (both of whom I am also in love with), I'm not complain. Hope you folks who have seen this tour already had a hell of a time.

went last night. solid tour. tip the van was pretty good, never heard them and the girls in that band are awesome. streelight was great as always, really got the crowd going crazy, people skaing-moshing everywhere, crowdsurfing, blowup dolls flying around, it was total chaos and it was so great. and of course reel big fish was good. fun tour.

Just got back from this show it was a lot of fun, I had listened to streetlight manifesto a little bit and they were pretty fun to watch. It was a really packed show in Atlanta, I haven't seen a completely full show in a while. Im not familiar with all of Reel Big Fish's stuff but here are the songs they definitely played:

Another FU Song
In the Pit
I Want Your Girlfriend
Bad Guy
Everything Sucks

Nothin But A Good Time
She Has A Girlfriend Now (played with the girls from Tip the Van)
The New Version Of You

They played a bunch more, not just those, most of the songs on the other posted set list were probably played, but I know they played the ones listed above.

just came back from the NJ show and here's my review....

first off i came late so i missed tip the van, but i listened to a few of their songs on the way to the show and i wasnt impressed.

streetlight manifesto - 5/10
That may sound like a harsh grade but its simply truth. There's just NOTHING different about any of their performances. Ive seen them live about 5 times now, and there's just nothing interesting anymore. They still dont talk with the crowd, their stage presence is calm and collected everytime (nothing to really look at), and their set lists remain dull for many reason. First off when you have songs that are all 4:00+, it's easy to lose interest...especially when you only have 2 albums to work with. I dont know...they were definitely sounding fine, it's just that if yove seen a STreetlight show, u've seen them all.....at least wait until they release new material.

RBF - 9/10.
Now this is a bad that likes to switch things up almost constantly. They're funny on stage, they talk to the crowd, they switch up their sets, and they have a lot of great antics while playing too. Now I know these things sound un-important when it comes to a show, but they really help make a band watchable time after time (since this was my 6th time seeing RBF). Now they weren't as funny as they could of been...but it was a very smoooooth set, with a large variety. I mean I could knock them for not playing many of my favorites, but when you have 6+ full lengths to work with, you've gotta switch it up.....odd set, this is how it went...

Chimps for Free - 3songs
We're not happy - 3songs
Cheer up - 4songs
why do they rock - 2songs
turn the radio off - 5ongs

so cheer up seemed to be favorited tonight.....odd choice.
they didnt play Everything Sucks, Thanks for not moshing, kids dont like it, suburban rhythm as the notable songs they typically play (at least when I seee them)...i wish they'd play more obscure songs from we're not happy and turn radio off..but its cool...good show guys, def good stuff.

Eh... I saw RBF at Warped last year and was kinda dissapointed. Of course, that might just be because someone threw up on my shoes. That was kind of a letdown.

You are so on point with this statement. I have seen Streetlight Manifesto about 4 times now and the first 2 I thought they were amazing. Then the more and more you see them you notice that they play the same set nearly all the time. I think everytime they play they do Point Counterpoint/ Keaseby Night Would it kill them to start playing songs off Keasbey Nights like "Day In Day Out", "Sick And Sad" "1234" especially when they re released under their own name.

Agree with you both. They are talented musicians and keep wowing me on the albums but the more I see them live the more unimpressed I become. Last night in Philly... was it just me or was Jim Conti (singing lead, backround vocals) much loader, singing a lot more than Thomas. I don't know what that was about but I personally didn't like it.

I've seen Streetlight twice, and I was very impressed both times. If you're going to see them expecting to hear Tomas rant and rave between songs or jump around on stage like an animal, you're seeing the wrong band.

As for the Keasbey Nights material, the only reason they ever re-recorded that album under their own name was because it was either that or Victory released the original album labeled as Catch 22 all over again with nothing but new artwork. Tomas has made it clear he isn't a fan of re-releases that offer nothing new, so he offered to go in and re-record the entire album to appease Victory and hopefully the fans, as well.

If you ask me, that's a classy act on his part, and something all of his fans should consider a favor.

but thats the point I think we're trying to make....well at least for me. If you're not going to jump and rant between songs every show...and then only really have 2 albums to go on...how in the hell are you supposed to keep fans interested for so long, aka why would I still like them on the 3rd show? I got the whole like...they're suave, they're calm and collected on stage thing...and that was neat the first two times....but when you have almost NO material, and your songs are SO long..its really hard to get new sets or new anything.

And the whole keasbey nights thing I dont understand. If he doesnt like the album or playing those songs, why did he feel the need to re-record the whole thing? Why not let it just be re-releaeed as catch 22 and thats the end of it? This is something i've noticed about the lead singer and the band as a whole....I see and feel as if they REALLY hate their "hits". Like I know I went to a show and kids were screaming "EVERYTHING GOES NUMB"..and he' gave such an attitude as if he's like, "Why dont u like my other songs". Maybe i'm reading too much into it...but give me a break dude. good rant.

Good points, not to mention it always takes this band so long to put out new material. I remember seeing them in 2005 and they were talking about a new album being released later in that year. That new record did not drop till 2007. This is a cliche term but in my opinion Streetlight Manifesto is not the most hardest working band out there. In a genre like ska that needs some revival and reiventention they have the most potential to open people's eyes outside of the ska community that would want to see what this music is all about. This is getting off topic but that is why ska is so dead right now. There hasn't been a band to really grasp a widespread audience. I think ska really needs another Operation Ivy desperatley. I will say the band I like the most out of all the ska bands going now is certainly Big D And The Kids Table. They are worth every penny to see live and have 5 albums worth of material where their set won't become redundant.

rant over

Reel Big Fish rules, go see them live. Always a party!

I definitely think you're right about him favoring his lesser-known songs as opposed to his "hits," at least in a live setting, but let me explain the whole re-recorded material bit a little further. He had two choices: a) allow Victory to re-release an album his fans have already paid for once with nothing but half-assed new artwork, in an attempt to do nothing but fatten their wallets a little more, or b) re-record the album himself with his new band and at least give the fans their moneys worth (some will argue that the re-recording never should have happened and is a "disgrace to the original, raw material," but would anyone really have preferred him to just let Victory re-release it?). He chose the latter option, of course. He did not think option a was an honest move, and Tomas is a humble, hardworking guy who isn't in the industry to rip-off broke college students who are struggling to pay the bills as it is. He knew the album was coming out again either way (Victory had made sure of this), so the least he could do was offer them something "new," considering he knew that regardless of what the disc contained his die-hard fans were going to shell out the cash for it. Am I missing something, or is this not a classy move on his part? Also, as already mentioned, listen to the studio rants at the end of the re-recorded 1234 1234 and you'll have a clearer understanding of what I'm saying.
