Quick question regarding Cubase 4...I want to do some remixing stuff. Really light, just to get a feel for the program and such, and not actually do anything huge with it. Two (probably related) problems with it: when I load my project file, this comes up:

And when I play my project, the bar moves forward indicating that it's playing, but I don't hear anything. When I go over to iTunes and listen to a song though, I can hear, indicating that my speakers are fine. Can someone help me out?

Take a look at the setup and trouble shooting section of your manual. It looks like here's something wrong with the way it's recognizing the drivers for your sound card.

I don't have a manual, I downloaded a crack. I don't have a MIDI device hooked up, do you think that would mean anything?

I'm kind of confused as to what you are actually trying to do, but if you just have MIDI notes, but no actual virtual instrument or "brain", nothing will play since MIDI is just data, not audio.

I'm not doing anything involving MIDI. I have stems from a song - Black Mirror by Arcade Fire. The vocals, the drums, the guitar, the bass, etc. I want to remix them. I'm not making any music, just working with existing .mp3's.
