plus the whole hurricane katrina thing set me off. i hate george bush as much as any other person but to go on live tv and say "george bush doesn't care about black people" is ridiculous. first he's from the atl, not new orleans, and there are white people who live in new orleans. fucking idiot.

Kanye deserves respect, even if you think he's an ass. He is easily one of the best main stream hip-hop artists right now. He makes quality music, that is diferent from other shit out there. Especially on Late Registration.

Personally, I like the man. I saw a special on his life, and his pride makes sense. Plus, he is DAMN entertaining.

I love Kanye. Sure he may be egotistical and all that but I don't think there's any code of conduct that requires people of fame and talent to be levelheaded and "cool". Fuck that. He got to where he was by being the egotistical, loud, and outrageous person he is and not changing because of everybody bitching about his outrageous statements and tantrums over losing.

Pick up his little booklet called "Thank you and you're welcome" it really explains a lot about how he is.

I agree. BUT with that being said, he isn't the only jerk with talent to piss on anyone he feels like. His ego is out of control and makes him a fool. Look at Micheal Jordan or Mr. Woods they are examples of being the best at what they do and they do it with clalss and style. seen him twice. & regardless of whether he's a twat or not, they were damn good shows.
unfortunately i didn't get to see him on his uk tour this year, but one of my favourite bands supported & he's signed them & they helped him on his new cd so that's something else to like him for.
to be honest, i don't really take in to account of how he acts when he doesn't win awards, or what he says in interviews; everyone acts like a dick sometimes (yes i'm aware some more than others)- because i know it might make me dislike him slightly & that would be a shame because i love his shows & think his music is actually good.
