Below is an update from Senses Fail (www.sensesfail.com) regarding their new video, new songs, new demos, recording, and Warped Tour:

Again, we'd like to thank everyone for coming out to the Taste of Chaos and the headlining shows we did in April. We're still waiting on the editing of our new video for 'Rum is for Drinking, Not for Burning' directed by Christopher Mill(Modest Mouse, Interpol). We're excited about it and can't wait for it's release! While we were on tour we wrote a whole bunch of new songs and now that we're home, we are currently demoing them in our home studio. We won't be recording the next record until winter of '06, but we're getting a head start. Also, just to remind everyone--We will be performing on ALL of this year's Warped Tour on the Main Stage.--Senses Fail

It'll be interesting to see how the new songs turn out. I remember when Buddy said a while back that they weren't going to do anymore screaming. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't but I think they'd have some serious rocks if they went through with it. . . but I guess we will just wait and see!

Haha I dont like Senses Fail but that had to have been a typo. It must be winter of 05. They aren't on Drive Thru anymore. They can actually come out with full lengths every year.

We just passed "Winter 2005".

This coming January will be Winter 2006.. hardly a long wait at all.

hey ass-hats, the winter of '05 already officially ended.

See, the way it works is that winter starts less than 2 weeks before the end of the year. So the winter of '05 is not the one that will start on December 21st or whatever, it was the one that started on that day in '04 and then stretched into '05.

For those keeping score at home, that means Senses Fail will probably enter the studio around the beginning of 2006 which means we could see an album as early as the Summer of '06, but most likely Fall.

...or it could mean that they'll be touring through the summer, possibly taking a break from it all for a while and then going into the studio first quarter 2006. since january 1 through march 21 is still winter.

its pretty sad when theres all these replies on something fuqn not in even any real update. . this is just one more example of seein what has happened to everything in general. sorry if you kids never learned the seasons of the year in elementary school that you can't understand what is being said.

and on top of things do you realize how old their new songs are that they've been playing? they had label problems forever to reach their full length that came out this passing year... which still has been doing well, but most of that stuff is rather old and that's why their new stuff, i have no doubt will just be that much better because the maturity and growth that they've experienced is just beyond what most of you think.

we hear bands not playing hits like letters to you or stretch it to other bands because they've played it so, so much since it's first been written... senses had sorta the same thing -obviously none of their hits were as necessarily popular in the mainstream markets, but non-media oriented obviously the buzz around letters to you was huge... and they don't play that anymore, and it's just like bands that are tired of playing old songs and shit when they've known they've improved... i believe that's the same for SF.


of course props to blink for ending every set for many, many years with damnit and always doing homage.. the 'melodies' that they do with the mixture of M&Ms, Man oVerboard, etc, etc... great, but just wish they played them longer. i need a greatest hits album, greatest hits tour... but most of all, i just need blink back because they were so inspirational and kept it real for a lot longer than a lot of other bands... and plus they were part of the older UWL, SW scene and they hit it big, and still remained mad true so that's all you can ask for.... gotta love and respect blink...

Yeah he does because on their website was where the update was posted in the first place an they then posted an message to appologise about not being specific enough an that they will be heading into the studio aroun jan/feb 06.

Say what you will about SF but I give them mad props for turning down the chance to be "a major priority" at Geffen if they only slightly changed there songs to make them more marketable. They said fuck you to that!

I feel like if alot of bands had that oppurtunity they would have taken it....
