Why do your bands call themselves indie? Being an independent band dosen't make you indie. You have to have a certain spirit, and at least a trace of originality to be considered an "indie" band. What annoys me the most is the pride you take in listening to "obscure" music. As if it makes you better than kids that listen to mainstream music. The music itself is contrived, one dimensional, boring, unoriginal, and just really really bad. What's more important in your scene is your haircut, and wearing girls jeans, but you don't realize that you look fucking ridiculous. I know I'm not going to change anyones opinion with this post so keep on listened to your watered down, mass marketed bullshit.

C) I do know what emo is actually. Bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Swing Kids, Mineral, Rites Of Spring and Fugazi are all great examples of real emo

7 a day isn't really hard, takes me 2seconds to think of a witty thing to say to cocks like you, and 5seconds to type it all out, say 1-2seconds for the post to come up... so give or take 10seconds x 7, just over a minute of my life devoted to this forum... plus reading time.

What annoys me the most is the pride you take in listening to "obscure" music. As if it makes you better than kids that listen to mainstream music. The music itself is contrived, one dimensional, boring, unoriginal, and just really really bad. What's more important in your scene is your haircut, and wearing girls jeans, but you don't realize that you look fucking ridiculous. I know I'm not going to change anyones opinion with this post so keep on listened to your watered down, mass marketed bullshit.

Mid-Michigan seems to be developing a scene and I'm trying to break it down with my band by playing with bands that fall out of the "boundaries" of said scene, making friends with people I shouldn't, blah blah blah. Scenes are alright in theory but eventually they just turn into an elitist private club, which isn't what music is about.

It seems as though you think the kids like us that have no life and post on this site are the same kids wearing our hair over one eye, the tightest pants and shirts ever and basically trying to dress and fit into a certain scene or part.
