Snoop Dogg reportedly issued an invitation to Franz Ferdinand to collaberate on some tunes, though he didn't know their actual name. He referred to them as "the guys that sang 'Take Me Out'". The band apparently have agreed to a collaberation with the "guy that does "Drop It Like It's Hot", but in the mean time are recording the follow up to their self titled debut.

that should be tizzzight, phat ass beat might flip on dat one.
I REALLY hope that happens - it would be sweet. BTW, anyone know whatever happened with that collaboration between Snoop Dogg and the Transplants, supposedly a new version of "Tall Cans in the Air" they did?

I don't know...it just doesn't seem like Franz Ferdinand would mash up well with Snoop. I mean, think about the mashups that have already happened (the ones that are actually recorded together) and the "rock" bands involved have a heavier sound (Sum 41's 80's metal influences, LP's 90's metal & rap influences) that they have shown. It also seems like the rappers are diverse rappers who have recorded many types of songs. Ludacris is lower than Jay-Z on the variety scale, but he's getting up there now. Snoop just seems to have that generic dun, dun...dun dun dun, sound that he's always had. And no, I don't count "Drop It Like It's Hawt" as a new
But hey, maybe this will come out and prove me wrong. I guess that would be cool.

this is funny. snoop is a 9 out of 10 on the unintentional comedy scale. Also a 9 out of 10 on the insanely cool scale.

Mashups are going a tad too far...
Aw well, I'll shut up until the finished product comes out.

horrible to say considering how much that album rejuvenated his career and introduced more musicality into snoops music. the neptunes overhauled snoops music and made it groovy and original as opposed to just recycling the same boring west coast beats that all his other albums had.

Franz Ferdinand and Snoop Dogg? I'm not too sure about that one...Of course, Snoop Dogg and Jim Morrison didn't seem like a likely combo but a friend of mine keeps telling me that song is really good. Should be interesting...I just hope this doesn't suck.
I just think its kind of disrespectful to not even know the name of the band that you want to collaborate with. Call me fucking retarded but it just strikes me as rude that SNdoubleOP wouldn't at least figure out what their name was. Props on the response though.

See, I think Snoop is in on the joke. That's what makes him so awesome.
