anyone work at best buy? or have any warrenty info

okay so hears the deal.. my little brother put his mini 1st gen in the wash by accident. so then we took it out of the wash so my question is will best buys warrenty cover this?.. probally not

so whatever. i pluged it in and a folder with an explanation point shows up can i go to best buy and tell them that he was listening to his ipod it started shuffleing through songs and now we get this sign?

i tried the ipod explanation help page too and that didnt work.

also, if we bring it back will they give him a 2g mini brand new or a refurbished 1 gen or do they send it out to apple ?

i posted it on ipod lounge.. and it ususlly takes 3 hours for a reply so does anyone know aht i should do

water damage is not covered for most things. usually theres a little water - sensitive sticker inside somewhere, that changes color when its put in water (so they know if you try to trick em about it). my advice is leave it sitting for a week, it should dry and be alright. so wait a week, and then reset it

If that advice doesnt work about letting it dry. Give it a shot to return it. Cant hurt.
