I agree. I really loved every episode. When I pop in a DVD, it's completely at random and makes no difference to me.

On another note, I'm glad Rob Thomas is writing the movie script with her in college rather than in the FBI. FBI would have been too big of a leap.

Riley Finn? I admit, I like him because he's hot hahahah. I can see how you'd think he was boring but I think he was good for the "new nice guy" type. Agreed on Logan and Veronica. I like them waaaaay better than Duncan and Veronica too.

The Duncan and Veronica relationship never seemed too exciting from the viewer's standpoint so it's probably a good thing he ended up being written off the show. Duncan was never as clever or funny as Veronica's other guys from what I remember.

wanted to stay outta this thread until i finished the whole series. fucking LOVED seasons 1-2 with the third at a considerable distance... mainly due to me not feeling Piz or Parker whatsoever and not agreeing with the amount of screen time they were granted.

first off, Kristen Bell gave one of the most likable performances I've ever seen. what was there to not absolutely love about her? even when she was being a crazy girlfriend she was adorable. Ken Marino's Vinnie van Lowe was one of my favorite recurring roles ever. Keith was definitely the coolest dad. And amazing how this show made me completely despise Logan and then make me go "uh, wait, this guy is fucking awesome!"

all that said, I'm not sure I've ever been more disappointed with a series finale. even ones I've seen that have ended on cliff hangers due to writers assuming there'd be another season coming. this one just felt like oh.... Veronica isn't with Logan, Keith probably won't get elected sheriff, it's raining, Piz is still here... oof

Really glad you guys enjoyed it. I like to think my (Guern1ca) incredible praise of it in the Party Down thread attributed to you guys checking it out. Can't say how good it feels to get others hooked.

I'm surprised on how much I'm loving this series. Everything works so well, on a premise that could've failed. Great stories, great acting, great characters and great pacing. I'm going to recommend it to everyone of my friends. I haven't been this hooked on a series since Arrested Development. And thats saying a lot.

It reminds me of a mix between Brick and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Well to explain myself better, I like Logan's story with his missing mother (remember I'm still on the first season) the most and his acting has been top notch.

He's obviously a hatable character, but he does it really well.

The finale was amazing.

Such a satisfying end to the murder investigation.

Intend on starting the second as soon as possible.

Can anyone tell me if they feel it got better or worse?

I think I liked the smaller mysteries better in the first season, but the overall plotline of the second was better.

There is a bit in the third season. College stuff/dorm stuff was kind of boring sometimes and the extreme lack of Wallace post-first seasonwhomps, but yeah, love it all a ton. I really, really grew to love Piz, though. Thought he was a huge douche first 2 or 3 times i watched the series but really came around

Anyone missing Veronica Mars should check out Terriers on FX. There's a lot of similarities. Terriers is a bit of a darker drama but there's still some comedic elements. The scrappy PI aspect is there though and they're practically set in the same town. No Kristen Bell but the writing is excellent.

I agree, I'm not really getting the comparison.

-Scrappy private investigators
-Case of the week with season long plot style
-Southern California oceanside town with lots of tonal elements involving social classes
-Smart writing and snappy dialogue
-There's a dog!

I could probably come up with a few more but you get the idea. The big differences really come into the tone of both shows. Terriers ends up being very dark at some points. Someone brought up VM in the Terriers thread though and I saw this one bumped so I figured I should plug :-)

Man alive, I really like Logan. As others have said, initially in the first few episodes you can't help but hate him but he's great throughout I think. Just watched Season 3 Episode 9 and when Logan smashes up the cop car just so he can get put in a cell to fuck up Mo anad Mercer right at the end....love it.

Probably one of my favorite scenes in all of VM. At first you're like "What the fuck is he doing?" and then the shot of his fist with them in the background. So great. Both scenes are shot pretty awesome as well.

Finished. All I can say is, "fuck that". That was such a great series but that ending felt like such a great story that could normally be stretched over many episodes, but instead it was crammed into just over one. Sucks, just a couple more episodes would have been better. Not necessarily their fault obviously, but damn. Shame it's over.

Love me some Logan still, kept delivering right until the end.

About halfway through the second season.

Honestly there was a stretch of about 4 episodes where I didn't stop crying almost the entire time.

There's definitely an emotional spike in the second season.
