Hey everyone, Adam and Alex here!
So this band started up again about 4 months ago, we were originally a 4 piece.
Some of you may have seen us play with The Morning Of and Brighten with this line up.
Recently, we have parted ways with Rob and Andy but we are still really close and there is no bad blood between any of us! After parting ways, Alex and I decided to keep this band running, writing and recording all the music, just the two of us. But since we're recording and writing music as a full band, Alex and I obviously can not play the songs this way live! We want to be able to play shows and have a great time playing the music we're making.
This is why we are looking for members!
As of right now we are looking for a BASSIST, DRUMMER, and GUITARIST! Alex and I both do play guitar on stage, but Alex usually plays acoustic guitar, that's why we're looking for another guitarist to play electric!
If all the plans we've made for 2009 stay on track we WILL be on tour! So this is the real deal, and we are looking for people who are ready to make a full time commitment. With this said here is a small list of requirements...
-Must be 17 or older. We need to have people who can make this a full time deal. If you're in college that's fine, because Adam is also in college. So we will be touring accordingly.
-Must have REAL PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT. I know this sounds harsh but just because you have a drum set, amp, or what not DOES NOT mean that it's good enough to play shows with. We want our music to sound as good live as it does in our recordings!
-If you're a drummer you HAVE to be able to play to a click track! Being in time, and keeping everything really tight is a MUST for us. We also use samples in some of our tracks, that we use an Ipod to play. This means that EVERY BEAT OF EVERY SONG must be dead on! No, we DO NOT expect you to show up and be perfect, but you have to be willing to practice and get it down.
-Alex and I are looking for people to have a good time with. We run this band really open, everyone gets an opinion. We don't want anyone who has control issues. Alex and I put a lot of effort into writing this music and we're looking for people to have a good time with us not only on stage, but at practice, and just hanging out!
That's basically all I can think of. We are willing to try out just about anyone who meets most of these conditions. If you think you're up to it PLEASE give us a buzz! Reply to this in a blog comment or shoot us a message! And even if you don't meet all of these requirements right now, but are willing to work at it PLEASE hit us up still! Music, as well as life is all about progress, this is something that is not unfamiliar to Alex and I.
