Awesome list. I was thinking "where the hell is Jules Winfield?", but he's sitting pretty at number 19.

The tiniest of tiny problems I have is that Bill from Kill Bill should be on here.

Batman138
12/02/08, 03:35 PM
Yeah, I also think Zoolander should be on there, if the dude from Dodgeball and guys from anchorman are on there then Derek Zoolander should be too. Overall I think its decent, the order could have probably been done differently, but most of my personal favorite characters are on there.

I kinda think Edward Bloom from Big Fish should be on there somewhere, but its still a cool list.

I thought the same thing!

I'm sorry, but the Joker at number three is simply ridiculous. Empire clearly loves the Dark Knight way too much after putting the Joker at 3 here and the Dark Knight at number 5 all time.

There's no way in hell Indiana Jones should be any lower than 3. I understand Tyler Durden and Darth Vader finishing ahead of him, but Indy is one of the most legendary characters ever.

Not a bad list. A lot of my favorites on it.

I love Randall Graves, glad to see him on there.

I feel that Marty should be much higher.

oh and what about John “Bluto” Blutarsky. Gotta love Belushi in that role.

Adeniz19
12/02/08, 03:55 PM
anton chigurh should be higher on that list

12/02/08, 03:55 PM
and Gene Wilder's version of Willy Wonka?...haha they should have made it the top 150.

Oh, and no Lester Burnham is an automatic fail.

They went with Connery's Bond in Goldfinger. Interesting. I've never seen it, so I have no opinion, but I love Daniel Craig.

I love tyler durden but i feel he shoudn't be #1 only because he was created in literature first. Should have saved the #1 spot for a completely original character.

Fuck Tyler Durden.

Batman138
12/02/08, 04:35 PM
Woah I just noticed Juno is on there at number 56, that does not make any sense. It was a decent movie but I don't think her character is worthy of a top 100 spot or at least not that high.

Seriously. No way the guy deserves the #1 spot.

I really don't understand why Juno is up there.
I agree with why no Batman/Bruce Wayne?

But where the fuck is Lando?

Lester Burnham really should be on there

MIKEY_HORROR
12/02/08, 06:35 PM
Det. Paul Specker (William Defeo in Boondock Saints) really needs to be on that list somewhere....it was a great performance..

also Lil'Ze or Benny from City of God should be on there

Mirrorsandfevers

Wow great call. I need to watch that again.

I really don't understand why Juno is up there.
I agree with why no Batman/Bruce Wayne?

Agreed on both accounts.

Lester Burnham really should be on there

American Beauty correct? I agree if so.

Also I think arguments lie in the blurred line between the notion of the character itself and the actors performance. I mean Bond is a legendary character, just because Brosnan sucked or didn't suck, or you think Connery is better then Craig doesn't mean the character of Bond shouldn't be in the top 10. For instance the character of the Joker is not top 10 in my eyes, but Ledger's performance is, there needs to be a line drawn somewhere.

The Joker from the Dark Knight at #3?? While I won't deny his appeal but rating him above all the others in the list is quite rich.

I notice some serious ommissions from that list as well:

Major Dutch-Predator

Lloyd Christmas-Dumb and Dumber

Uncle Buck

God Dutch is such a badass.

"COME ON! I'M OVER HEAH! COME ON!"

"GET TO THEE CHOPPER!"

I second that vote. Of course, pretty much everyone in that cast is a mega badass, not the least of which is Billy, the Indian warrior who tries to knife fight the Predator on a log bridge. Terrible idea, but awesomely badass.

He should definitely make top 10, plus no mention of Sam Spade makes this an automatic fail.
