And I have a final everyday next week [save Wednesday] including two consecutive ones Monday & Friday.

yeah, it's ridiculous. it's a 200-level class, and most of the time it's a piece of cake.

right now working on a prospectus for a paper on Edmund Spenser's impact on English poetry and its effects today... that's a very condensed version of the topic. I need a thesis, prospectus, annotated bibliography, outline, rough and final draft... lol good shit.
also due tomorrow is a DBQ (document based question) for AP US History on how the roles of women in America changed between 1776 and 1876 using 18 documents and outside information.
oh god, DBQ's.. i remember those days. have fun with that.

i have a final test tomorrow and a final paper due tomorrow. i might die.
i already decided i'm pulling an all-nighter. thank god for caffeine pills.

i mean, some of the stuff isnt thaaaaat bad but my teacher is ridiculously hard. our averages on our tests have been 30-40%. I got a 50% on a test and was EXCITED.

this is going to sound really nerdy of me buuuut the reason i like o chem is because its trained my mind to think differently. my teacher has honestly put "we've used this reagent to reduce this functional group. use those tools to reduce this other functional group that we haven't studied yet." on a midterm! i got so frustrated but at the same time, i should be able to figure those kinds of things out in those kinds of settings, esp if i want to continue and be a doctor.

If your school is like mine and you have to take Calc. 2 before linear algebra, which would you say is more difficult?
Well my linear algebra class is more theory and makes use of proofs a lot, so it seems like it would be a little more advanced than a class that just requires calc 2 as a prereq. But I did take a linear algebra class before this that was not proofs-based and I'd say that is was more challenging than any calculus class I took. It's just different than any math you've ever done at that point, so it just takes a little while to grasp it. Do you know what topics they cover in your linear algebra class?

We have two as well, but the one I'm taking next semester lists this: Systems of linear equations, vectors, matrices, determinants, linear transformations, vector spaces and applications. Techniques and some proofs

The later one might be more like the advanced one you're taking now: Matrices and vector spaces, eigenvalues, orthogonal matrices, positive definite matrices, quadratic forms. Applications to differential equations, Markov chains, least squares
Hmm, it seems that we have a slightly different setup at my school. The one I'm taking right now covers vector spaces, linear transformations, determinants, and diagonalization (which goes with eigenvalues), but assumes a prior introduction to basic matrix theory and basic linear algebra terminology (which you get from the class I took before this). There is a third linear algebra class that I am not taking, but that covers most of the stuff in your second class, along with inner product spaces.

so this semester I ta'ed with a major bitch. she threatened me with a failing grade because she thinks i'm doing nothing, she doesn't know how much time i've spent explaining all of the assignments to the students, helping them get stuff done in a way that they actually understand it. we had to have meetings recently for their final projects...it was MY idea. she made it seem like it was her idea. fucking bitch. anyway that is just one segment of the i hate finals thing, i could write a novel, considering i have her as a teacher for a class too, ugh

My finals were last week, and we were supposed to be done last Friday.

However, we had a crazy ice/rain storm Thursday night(there were trees falling down both on campus and the roads off campus), and my campus lost all power around 11. Everyone assumed it would be on when we woke up, so I stayed awake until 3 working on my part of a presentation.

Woke up at 7 to get ready and meet my group by 7:30 Friday morning, only to get a call on my cell from someone else in the group that there was still zero power and all finals were moved to SATURDAY...It was one of the worst feelings in the world, haha. Especially for me because this was my final semester ever, so to have it pushed back another day seriously felt like torture. I think that's the worst finals experience I've ever had.

The actual course title is 'Physiological Psych' but we use a Neurobiology book, and the professor normally acknowledges the course as such. I guess since about 3/4 of the class is focused on the brain ? There is actually a proper Neurobiology class built off the first one, it's an undergrad course as well though. The first few chapters focused on anatomy and (briefly) on functionality, and the latter portions of the book are more 'this part does this','memory is here', 'perception occurs here', 'drugs do damage...here and here', 'strokes happen here' etc. etc.

Good class though. Definitely my first psych class to introduce me to completely new material, and it was fairly challenging. :)
