Excepter (http://www.excepter.com) - Throne. If you know how much I love Excepter this shouldn't be a surprise. These guys are just great freak-out minimalism.

Sleater-Kinney (http://www.sleater-kinney.com) - The Woods. The seventh album from SK may be one of their best. Just some good rock.

i usually check out at least one of the bands you recommend. I went and checked out that new Sleater-Kinney album the other night when you posted the review. good call on that one, they've always been one of those bands that I'd been meaning to check out but always slipped my mind when I had the time.

yeah ryan, i dig your recs. i get sick of seeing the same old pop-punk recommendations when i do check the recommendations from time to time. i've been meaning to check out more of the sleater-kinney album, sounds great from the couple of tracks i have heard so far.
