as i gaze intently at my reflection
i wonder if my life is going in the right direction
the blood-smeared shard is conspicuous in my hand
carving into my wrist, i wonder if this will be my end
paying close attention to every intricate etch,
i can't help but notice I've become a wretch
i look forward to this every single night
staring bitterly at myself again, i know nothing is right
so i bleed
and i bleed
and i bleed more than once
life, living lies, what's the point?
since i don't have to tell you, i don't fill with dread
i stare mindlessly at the vivid flow of crimson red
look past the mask concealing my face
can you not tell that i want to leave this place?
they say i'm suicidal, that i've been sick for ever
they keep telling me i'll never get better
if that's so then why, what am i still here for?
i scream at my reflection and shatter the mirror
so i bleed
and i bleed
and i bleed for you
thanks for not being there and not helping me get through

er.. alrighty. this is my poem. feel free to tell me what you think about it. like if you think it's awesome, it sucked, or attention seeking, etc.

it's not like i haven't thought about it. actually, i'm constantly thinking about it, but i choose to live.

I actually really liked it. It still needs some work though. The flow is pretty good, but your rhyme scheme needs some improvement. I like the chorus, it's a ggod effect. Good for you, life is the best choice one can make. All of us struggle sometimes. Remember that you aren't alone and that people understand you. Suicide is a serious issue. I watched my cousin kill himself when I was five and I still have nightmares about it. When you feel like that, talk to someone you trust.

I would describe this poem as 'meh'
Can't you write about something that isn't cutting yourself or whatever? Because I have a feeling that this is probably all you write about.

you own. yes, i rmember my sophmore year, and getting a 97 on my exam, i freaked out cause it wasn't a 100, then again that was AP US History, so my expectations were a bit too high

not as much as it should have. with the ten extra points that you get for taking an AP class, i got over a 100 in the class. i should have aced the exam, and the questions i missed were stupid.

10 extra points? We get a multiplier for our GPA. We do ours on a scale to 120 (6.0). 120 can only be achieved with AP classes though.

the highest we can have is 4.0. They add 10 extra points to a grade if it's an AP class. So i orginally had a 94 but with the ten extra points i had a 104.
