Anyone else from BC around these parts that voted today? Surely there has to be at least one person that can talk to me here.

Who'd you vote for, if you did? I voted Green, relatively proudly. I don't think I'll be voting that way federally next month, though..

One interesting thing about this election is the referendum to change the voting system. Essentially, if passed, this new system would turn BC's electoral proecss into one of proportional representation. People have said in the past that it can't work (see: Germany, post World War I), but, considering how politically stable Canada is, I'd say it would work.

Mhm. Any thoughts from fellow BC people?

I wish Americans cared as much about Canadian elections as you guys do about ours. It would be fun to show you just what we have to listen to all the time...

American's should care about Canadian elections. Like it or not, as it works both ways, our elections affect each other's countries dramatically. Personally, I'd like to hear an American's views on our government.

i go to school right over the boarder in washington but my g.f lives in b.c. if i was from b.c id probably vote liberal

in canadian schools, they learn US history...we learn nothing of Canada
