Terribly dissapointed to say the least. I know many people like bands interpretations of songs they remake, but I was hoping for of a remake of basically the same song.

only one's i cared for was the Rod Stewart cover, The Outfield cover, and the Paula Abdul cover. The Early November cover of Power of Love made me regret being born.

I'd still listen to it, and perhaps why I liked the other songs was because those were some of the better songs that were covered to begin with. I can't excuse the early november cover though. that song should not be acoustic and has helped ruin my love for Back To The Future.

I'm pretty sure I heard a pseudo-breakdown in the cover that Emery threw down for this compilation. I kinda found that entertaining. Gatsby's American Dream had a relatively good cover of "Just Like Heaven" on there, too. That's about all I enjoyed. Hah.

Yeah, the Just Like Heaven cover is the only decent one in my opinion.

Haha, whenever I hear that song I think of Marty McFly on a skateboard. I can't see Marty McFly skateboaring to the Early November version. :headshake

I enjoy Relient K's "Manic Monday", GAD's "Just Like Heaven", Halifax's "Straight Up" and Amber Pacific's "Video Killed the Radio Star".
The rest of them sound like too much of a stretch (Like The Early November, which might as well have been labeled under I Can Make A Mess...) or too much like the original (HIPV, Sugarcult, Rufio).
I enjoy Emery's "Holding Out For A Hero" as well.
But yeah, this album is kind of a disappointment.
I'd take Punk Goes Pop over this any day.

I think Punk Goes Pop blow this away, as well. I did enjoy the Halifax cover of the Paula Abdul song and a few others though. Agreed on the TEN cover, thought it was too much of a stretch.

I liked the Underoath cover of the Police song from the Police tribute much better than Brazils'. It's what got me to pick up their record and listen to it in the first place. The Relient K song was awesome though.
