yeah, i don't know. i just wrote this from a train of thought i had. i like the sun, is all. it makes me think of things like this.

i.

a girl & a boy
with matching smiles
sit in a park when
they should be working.
they are tired of repeating
the facts of the matter.
so, they sit on swings.
the girl turns, eyes lowered,
& with the chains biting holes in her fingers,
she says,
'i like you,
but i wish i were more eloquent.
my words feel cheap.'
they count to five.
& then, after, they are lying
in the grass;
dried pale & weak by the sun.
it makes skin slick & damp lips
touch to the curve of an ear, saying,
'let us burn! let us burn! let us burn!'

ii.

& next, there are too many letters
in each word, &
throats are cloyed, syrup-thick.
so they lie, touch hands palm-flat
to torsos covered: skin & sweat,
cheap cloth.
& underneath it all,
he tells her of lungs spread wide,
like peppered moths, flayed
with ribcages arching: fingertips
cupping the faintest breaths, protective,
& leaving the rest to evaporate.
'they look after themselves,' he tells her.
she smiles, serene, presses her
finger to the contours of his lip.
'together, we will burn.'

this is actually very different to the stuff i've written before [although none of that would be expected from someone with a faint username either, i don't think.]

anyway, thanks all.

That was great. This is one more person to add to the list of people that don't write about cutting themselves.

hi, i love you. standing on the edge of summer is my favourite thursday song alongside jet black new year. mmm, thursday.

ps;

the crimson pours down my tattered arms;
it suffocates me.
i am alone.
the heartbreak is my only companion.

i managed to tempt it in to a cage with dashboard confessional albums, it's okay.

your signature is quite terrifying. seeing chris martin making that face while i'm trying to type a reply is oddly distracting.

You and your pathetic attempts to insult me have failed, again. If you're going to say stuff like that, you might as well say it to the person. Go ahead, insult me again. I like putting you down. It's amusing to see all the stupid ass replies you come up with.

Yes, how dare you question her creativity, considering that my writing style is completely different from that. Bravo, once again, you prove your stupidity, without me having to point it out.
