I've never been able to get into the Foo Fighters for some reason and it doesnt look like that will change but "Everlong" is one of the best songs ever.

I think the foo fighters are probably one of the best bands and dave grohl one of the best song writers out there for our generation. It seems odd that if Kurt had not died Dave might still be in the background and all that genius might be kept bottled up.
Just an opinion I guess so dont go spazzing out about how much you hate them.

Yeah, I really-really...really can't get this song. It's not as bad as that shit Audioslave is trying to pass off as music. Has anyone heard that song? Jesus, it's like "Hey Chris Cornell and guys who were obviously the weaker portion of Rage Against the Machine since every single song Audioslave has done has been utter crap and if you guys were any kind of musicians you would be able to make something good yourself without Zach, umm....I think you should do a feel-good song. You know, one where kids can follow their dreams and be anything you want, that kind of thing." "Hey yeah, he's right. I was in Soundgarden you know"

But that's beside the point.

The point is that yeah, "Everlong" was probably the Foos best song. "My Hero" was pretty sweet too. But this? It's just...blah. Really...really blah. Try harder.

I love how my favourite bands, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Audioslave, always get tons of shit when there are posts about them. It makes me think Im on the right path.

"Be yourself that's all that you can do"?

You really think this came from the same mind as

"His spit is worth more than her work
Pass the purse to the pugilists
He's a prizefighter
And he bought rings and he owns kin
And now he's swingin'
And now he's the champion
Hey revolver, don't mothers make good fathers?"

Even if Tom did have a huge hand in Rage's body of work, he must've had a reverse peniplasty to put out crap like this. I'm not saying Audioslave is crap. I'm just saying that if it it's warm and yellow and in your glass, it isn't neccesarily lemonade. That's all I'm trying to say.

It's alright. I know their new CD is gonna be good, but nothing will ever surpass the perfection that is The Colour and Shape.

Its no Everlong, but I like it once it gets going and Dave Grohl still sounds pretty good after all these years. Knock em all you want, Foo was crucial in the development of rock in the 90's in that whole post-grunge period and influenced alot of our favorite bands today.

As far as Audioslave and Rage...Morello is a great guitarist, but you have to admit that Audioslave is terrible. The band was eaten up and marketed by the label (Sony I think?) with the SOLE INTENT to sell records and make money, and in my mind is no different from Velvet Revolver (shudder). I have yet to hear anything inspiring or different from Audioslave that isn't just standard alt rock prepackaged for the radio.

Makes me wonder if you've listened to their WHOLE albums..."For All the Cows", "WatterShed", "Alone + Easy Target", "February Stars", "See You", "Hey! Johnny Park", "Come Back", "Generator," "Aurora", "Headwires"

Why aren't any of these songs mentioned? Or were you just referring to what you heard on the radio?
