moving out and stuff..help

okay well currently me and my parents have been fighting all the time. i will be 18 in a month so whenever we do i just tell them that im going to move out and it doesnt matter anyways. and as of today i find out that my dad said he is going toground me until i am 18. this sorta pisses me off a lot because i do everything for them..as in let them borrow money pay rent etc...and they owe me 500$..so seriously what am i doing wrong. i work, get good grades, what more could they possibly want from me? i just cant take it anymore..so im thnking about moving out..anyone have similar experiences? or advice on moving out and sticking with it? cut they told me once im out i cant move back..bleh

It doesn't sound like it, but do you plan on having them help pay for your college? If not, and you're the supporter anyway, I would say go ahead and look into it. Just remember with the cost of rent comes utilities, appliances you might have to buy, etc.

ridiculous, at least wait until after summer. true, your parents are out of line but they are still family who will most likely want to help you. you might be a good kid, and i'm sure they know it, but if they feel like you are disrespectful then at least try to change your attitude for a while to see if they'll be less strict towards you. and if that doesn't work, push the boundaries and make them realize that you are grown up and deserve to have more liberties that comes with age.

I'd say you should move out if you have a job and can afford it.
Don't want to go to college, or can pay for that.
Maybe if you found a roommate that'd be easier.

I'm moving out this summer with my boyfriend, if we both get jobs.
But, I'm only rushing out because my parents are alcoholics and I can't stand their crap.
-not because I had a little fight with them.
Also, my parents would let me move back in & will be paying for my college either way.
